Kitchen backsplash feedback

Backstory:

Our kitchen is coming out way too modern for my tastes due to all the "compromises" I've had to make with Hubby. Theoretically and within limits, he's given me "carte blanche" on the accent tiles for the backsplash (after all they'll be small and not that noticeable). I'm thinking I can soften the look somewhat with some natural touches here and there (like some bundles of dried lavender) so want to echo that at least a little in the tiles as well as at least a touch of my tastes.

So anyhow, on to the details. The main field is going to be 6" high botticino marble (that's white with very pale streaks of gray/pink/blue/tan). Accent tiles will be set as diamonds in the middle. We'll have about 6 for 20 linear feet of back splash.

Here's my two choices:

(baroque crest polished pewter)

and

(dragonfly)

Do you think the two go together? Do you think they'll go with the kitchen ok?

For reference, this is what we already have:

Our WIP:

Any other suggestions on how I can make my kitchen not look so stark and modern? The floors are probably going to be white oak stained a brown with red undertones.
