Every time that we break one of the rules of the road

we add to the risk there, even if by an infinitessimal amount.

That's true whether or not we are aware of those rules.

We add just a little bit to the risk of every occupant of the vehicles around us and pedestrians, cyclists, etc.

But ... those people vary every time that we do it.

There is, however, one person who is present every time that we do - that's the person behind the wheel of the vehicle we're driving.

It also includes spouse, other family members, loved ,ones, relatives, friends and whoever else may be riding with us ... and that's fairly frequently.

It seems to me that we should make a strong effort to obey the rules of the road of which we are aware ...

...and a major effort to learn the rules of the road from a driver's handbook, etc. in the area in which we live.

More important than being willing to keep our house, etc. half clean.

In our area, that little driver's handbook (and I'm not quite asking that you peruse the whole of the Highway Trafic Act) costs about $15.00 at the Transport office ... but we can borrow for up to three weeks at the library - for FREE!

We have to attend a consultation with about a dozen others, and write a test, every two years, after 80, so it behooves us to get that handbook aa while before we attend it.

ole joyfuelled ... and my car needs some fuel on occasion (but joy doesn't take it far)
