Comments (5)Yes it is the Pulsa jet with the gas tank on top of the carb. I checked the gas cap vent and it was clear. I was thinking it may be the pickup tube and/ or the jet with the mesh covering over it. I notice there was gas coming from the carb. I checked the connection to the manifold, gasket / diaphragm, etc. and didn't see anything. On the carb I see the gas was coming from behind a small round black ball. I believe the dip to is connected to it under the carb....See MoreLast minute upper layout HEEEEELLLLPPPP!
Comments (4)In our last kitchen, we had 11" between the range and the fridge, with our prep space between range and sink to the right, as you show. I wish you could move the sink away from the corner, so prep person isn't blocking the sink, but it's not possible. I think you've done well with the space you have. I prefer the first idea of having the open shelves from narrow cabinet to wall on the stove wall, instead of on the window wall as shown in one of the later renderings. Or maybe forego the narrow cabs, and run open shelves on the wall space to the left of the hood, and when you get low enough continue one (or 2?) across under the hood, so it's positioned as some do when they incorporate shelves into the range backsplash....See MoreLayout Help, Last Minute Doubts
Comments (14)Chispa, thanks for the reassurance. I definitely don't need a tub, but DH loves to take baths, so... I was originally really excited about the look of the tub under the windows, but I think I can make the slightly angled tub work. Any decorating ideas to make it look more balanced with the window on one side of tub and blank wall on the other?...See MoreLast minute cabinet size check
Comments (5)#1. Think about which way the doors on the easy-reach will open. If the handle is on the right cabinet (toward the hood), the door with the handle will be narrower than the other door - which may be an operational problem. I would make the easy-reach symmetric at 24", leave the cabinets on the hood wall as they are, and use the extra 6" to the right of the sink to do a 6" open shelf (with backs on right side and wall, open to the front and sink sides). Also, I totally agree about leaving 6" of open space on both sides of the window. I'm doing the same in my kitchen (which hasn't started yet). #2. If you like my suggestion for #1, you might want to shrink the upper cabinet to the left of the sink to 23" and add another 6" open shelf for symmetry. However, given that cab is right above your dishwasher, you might want the full 29" for dish storage there and forego the symmetry. #3. I would recommend against shrinking the 12" base cabinet - that's already pretty narrow. But really it depends on what you plan to store there. If it's for cutting boards and baking sheets, 1" probably doesn't matter. Any other form of storage (drawers or shelves) need that extra inch. I also would not extend the corner cab. I doubt you'll notice the 1" sink offset after your kitchen is done. Good luck!...See Moreeandhl
