No call registery for cell phones???

Is there such a thing?

I just got an automated msg on my cell, grrrrr

Used MY minutes. I buy by the minute.

Would love to report them, IF there is such a place.

I've had ONE telemarketer call my cell phone! When I got finished rippin' him a new 'un, he was probably wishing he had a job smellin' sh!t!!

Some Auto Warranty place managed to get my friends cell number and even though she has asked and asked them to remove her number..they continue to call!

If there's a Do Not Call Registry for cell phones, I don't know about it.

I just registered my cell phone with DO NOT CALL REGISTRY---------------------------------------

FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers. Automated dialers are standard in the industry, so most telemarketers are barred from calling consumers on their cell phones without their consent.

The federal government does not maintain a national cell phone registry. Personal cell phone users have always been able to add their numbers to the National Do Not Call Registry Â the same Registry consumers use to register their land lines Â either online at www.donotcall.gov or by calling toll-free 1-888-382-1222 from the telephone number they wish to register. Registrations become effective within 31 days of signing up and are active for five years. There is no cut-off date or deadline for registrations.

It will become harder to navigate without GPS The days of people using maps to get to the right place are almost gone. All smartphones are equipped with GPS, which helps us to reach our destination without much difficulty and wandering. Life has actually become much easier thanks to GPS, because this navigator shows us the right direction right down to the smallest turn. Therefore, in the absence of access to the global system, many people will not be able to correctly and quickly navigate in an unfamiliar area. Navigators have become such an integral part of our lives that most travel enthusiasts and those who often go on business trips can hardly imagine their lives without a smartphone with its indispensable GPS.

I don't have a phone number, just go to the donotcall.gov and register your cell numbers. This is a true story -- look at this website, they are the people who started it: intelius.com They have your cell number if you use it for any business, etc.

It depends on the phone and the carriers. There's a number of different types of service out there too. For instance different carriers use different frequencies (CDMA, PCS, GSM, etc) SIM cards are suggestive of GSM technology used by Tmo and ATT. If you're looking to use prepaid service you can sometimes use the phones but won't always have all the features. If you're looking for a contract service, then as cautioned before, beware of costs to change. Often the smallest thing will extend your contract. For instance, if you get a new phone, you generally get a new (extended) contract with hefty cancellation fees. You'll have to get more info from the companies, but generally speaking, Tmo will not be interchangeable with Virgin and Verizon. Tmo & AT&T are more likely to be options. Probably not answering your question, but not an easy question to answer!

It's a feature you enable in your settings named "wi-fi calling." Your phone functions just like normally, making or receiving calls. But Instead of the calls occurring using the wireless signal of your cell phone carrier, they occur over your Internet connection. You need the right phone and you need to enable the feature in your settings. Other than that, you wouldn't know the difference since it's business as usual and there are no extra things to do when placing or receiving calls. When I am at home, my phone automatically picks up my router and all calls occur over the Internet. This is nice if you are limited to a certain number of minutes a month on your wireless plan, since calls over the Internet don't count against your plan. Not all phones can do this. For example, you need the newest iPhone (6 or 6s), or a pretty new Android model. And a few carriers do not yet make this available to their customers regardless of what phone they have. What phone do you have and who is your carrier?

I don't think there is a no call list, but I just refuse to give my cell number out except at the hospital or medical center. Stores and sales people don't need it and I don't put it on forms I fill out. I just tell them NO>

Auto maint. telemarketers were calling mine over 'n over- I too called 1-888-382-1222 & not another call from 'em. Whoopee!

I registered my cell phone with the no-call number a long time ago and haven't gotten any calls. BUT I've lately gotten two text messages that were solicitations. Doesn't this also fall under the no call rule?

Was told it will be 31 days,and if I get more to calls to call their number and report abusive calls.

Our two house lines are registered with the Do Not Call Registry, but ever since the economy started slipping, we have been getting an increasing number of solicitors--windows, insurance, etc. These business are willing to risk your ill will in the hopes you will do business with them.
