Do u take anthing on a daily basis for gas? My husband

is killing me. He is a very gassy man. Ewwwww! I know they say better out then in but I have to leave the room.

Talk about favorite and worst smells!! lol. Does gas-x or

beano help? What is your cure?

As a person ages their digestive system changes. The body no longer produces the enzymes needed to break down certain foods. If or when this happens, is based on hereditary factors. He may have developed a lactose intolerance or some other malady. It would be better to experiment tie dietary changes to see if it makes any difference before investing in pharmaceuticals or OTC remedies. If you do decide to purchase an OTC product, take note of which foods are the offenders. Each has a different remedy. Lactaid is for dairy. Beano is for starches. Ect.

You may want to consider a doctors visit if minor dietary changes do not help. Sometimes excessive gas can be a sign of cancer or other things.

Has his diet changed or is this normal?

I had ongoing issues when I became a vegetarian. After researching, this is normal for veggies and Beano is an option. Of course Beano is made with fish oil, so Vegans couldnÂt take it. However they work great for me. My disclaimer is to rule out a medical condition and only take Beano when needed.

A cooktop/rangetop/range in an island is a difficult kitchen design for several reasons. The island needs to be large. If the island has seating, it needs to be even larger still. Island venting will be much more costly for both the hood and the more difficult installation. From your other posts, I gather you have a blank slate for your kitchen, so it doesn't seem that you are forced into an island cooktop situation. 7 x 4 island isn't large enough. Width-wise, with a 36" cooking surface, that leaves 2' on either side. Depth-wise it only leaves 2'. Will this island have any other use than to house your rangetop or range? If so, how will you fit that other use? I like the idea of a range plus additional wall oven. Post your layout on a new thread and the gurus on the Kitchens Forum will find a way to make it all fit.

So, what is the best way to handle natural gas leaks? I stated this earlier, but it is worth repeating. The best way is to call the gas company. They have crews whose sole job is to find gas leaks. This is a free service. The gas company will make the repair free of charge if the leak is before the gas meter. If it is not you will be advised what repair needs to be done. Some gas companies may also do the repair and at a rate lower than the typcial licensed plumber.

Depending where you are, there might also be a moratorium on new gas hookups here. We have that where I live (due to limited pipeline capacity). Heat pump water heaters and heat pump ) mino-split heat are both well regarded around here, and it gets cold (-15) so they should work well most places. I would steer away from electric resistance heat if possible. Generators can run on propane tanks, I believe. We went with a wood stove as backup instead - we can function fine with no electricity for a few days, but losing heat would be much more serious. Depends, again, on where you are.

Three years ago , before the pandemic, I wanted to do gas logs. . Although my gas meter was about 6 feet away from the chimney stack, the cost to bring the gas piping to the chimney was going to be $1500, and yes, it did not include the cost of the logs or the installation or permit. So I didn't.

Go to the dollar store and buy some cheap, but BIG, encapsulated pills - empty the capsules (toss the powder inside in the trash) and fill the capsules with baking soda - give him two a day and see if it helps - works for me! You can also ask for empty capsules at the pharmacy, but they are hard to find. The capsules are easy to refill if you have a Kelly forceps or a tweezer.

You can often buy empty capsules at health food stores. If you find a compounding pharmacy, they'll have capsules or you can buy them online if you wish.
