Schematic for Asko dishwasher
Comments (16)So it works?, Mark If I was still running my business I would hire you in an instant. You have very good trouble shooting technique. I had to teach this to various graduates from Electronic Schools I hired over the years, (ITT) etc etc. The graduates were always over anxious to "Drag out the Heavy Equipment" first, (O Scopes, Meters, IC Testests etcetc). I told them it is much faster to use your eyes, ears and nose first---usually you will find the problem much faster. Anyway, nice job. For what it's worth, We had an SS DW. What a pita to keep clean, I can not think of a worse place for stainless steel than a DW, every drop of water showed on it. This time we went with a paneled Miele, had it 7 years now. Cleanup, if any needed and rare, is a swipe of the wood with a cloth. Also did the same with the fridge for the same reason. Gary...See MoreMiele vs asko Dishwasher
Comments (2)I don't own either one, but I have read every thread I could get my hands on. Both Meile and asko are well built machines. Asko used to have a lot of problems but more recently they seem to have resolved them. They are solid stainless steel: interior, exterior, and all racks. Their tall unit will hold an enormous amount of dishes and the only problem with it is will it fit in your cabinet space. Meile has a lot of believers on this forum. They too have had some recent quality issues reported by owners. You should search this forum for leads to the issues. There is another forum where consumers report issues but I can't recall which unless it is Consumer Reports online....See MoreAsko Dishwasher cycle problems
Comments (4)Here are a links to some of the Asko manuals. If you look in the upper right hand corner you should see a couple of types of manuals for your model. One is the quick start. But, the others seem to be more in depth. I searched for Asko 1776. Asko D1776 Here is a link to the Asko D1986 Manual Asko D1976 They may be identical. I didn't look at them that closely. But, I would print them off and see if there isn't something in there to help. I would suggest different variations of the model number when I searched. You may find some helpful advice. I have to admit, I only run mine in one mode. I don't care how much I spend on a dishwasher, my good gold trimmed china and fine crystal will be hand washed. That's why a dishwasher with multiple types of cycles is wasted on me. But, that's a personal choice. Good luck in your research. Water temperature will vary the time of the cycle. If you have really cold water, it may take some time to warm it up to 120 degrees....See MoreAsko Dishwasher Default
Comments (0)I have an Asko dishwasher with a digital display. To set the cycle I want, I must tap the display screen until the right cycle appears. However, when the cycle is done, it always defaults to Eco Wash, even though I never run Eco Wash! Worse, the cycle I want is seven taps away from Eco! Is there a way to get the device to default to the cycle I last ran? Asko told me this was not normal and recommended that I replace the computer. I did but no change. Help!...See More- 12 years ago
