Sounds delicious! I've got smokies and meatballs in the crockpot, and some little sausage-cheese appetizers on rye bread, bacon-horseradish roll-ups, and a layered Asian dip. I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl, but it's a good excuse to make snacks!

No munching, just chili.

I just breaded 5 limits of clams, had help with the last couple of dozen. Those were fried in electric skillets in the driveway (DH) ;) A friend of ours showed up and pitched in, then I cleaned and peeled the vegetables for his vegetable tray, found another platter for him, sliced a round of cougar fire crimson cheese and found yet another platter for his cheese and rice crackers. They had kielbasa too, that went 'as is' down the street to the super bowl party and if they want it they can cook it there.

I'm not sure what else is being served but suspect there will be plenty. This house seemed to work for the prep work and 'stopping by first' place, everyone has left in the last few minutes and I'm going to watch the game here - quietly. There were only a couple of wives going to the party that I had heard, neither are women I know especially well and I might go at half time or might not. I don't mean to sound anti-social but I'm only mildly interested in the game - truthfully, DH - the people lover - is more interested in the party than in professional sports, his love is college or even younger teams.

I had thought we might host this years party but the man down the street asked if he could, I didn't argue for even a minute :) He has a huge gorgeous house for it, multiple oversized televisions.

All I did was make a plate of natchos supreme. We put shredded lettuce, sour cream, guac, and salsa on our own plates.....then dig into the hot and melty nachos.

I bought a big bag of frozen rotisserie chicken wings at Sams I will heat those up and have them with blue cheese to dip and some veggies.
We are just the two of us so not a big deal.

Morz..had to google the Crimson Fire..I did not realize there were more than Gold...
My Kam would love the "new" cheese.

Terri, the cheese was new to me too, I've only had the 'gold'. But a friend came in with it, in the can, and a box of crackers (Costco sized), not exactly ready to serve so I sent yet another of my platters down the street ;)

His youngest is going to WSU this year, took her car so makes trips back and forth, and bringing cheese.

I sampled the cheese, it isn't wildly hot as its in your mouth, but leaves a definite after burn in your throat, not for the really timid. Very colorful on a plate, lots of red and green.

No munchies here, but turkey noodle soup and meatloaf sandwiches.

With new foods encountered, and recipes shared, at least something good resulted.

I prefer supporting the young un's activities, rather than all of the hoopla about either the top-level, professional sports ... or the Olympics, for that matter.

In the Olympics, a few of the spectacular winners in the popular types of sport, become famous ... but it's a great deal of work and hugely costly for most of the participants, with little good result.

While the top brass live like kings.
