Low calorie 'sweets' suggestions here..

I saw the post about dyed hair and fat! LOL people mentioned keeping off the weight but loving sweets!

I LOVE the hershey Dark Choloate "sticks" they have them in milk chocolate too. They are 60 calories and 1 Weight watcher point. the WW frozen fudge bars are the best! yummy! but expensive. You can get Healthy choice fudge bars at a good price at costco. YUMMY! and one WW point. The skinny cow ones are okay, but 2 points.

And if you want pure sugar yumminess... have a tootsie pop. I believe they are 45 calories, 1 WWpoint and they last a LONG time. Plus, the tootsie roll piece in the center... scrumptious! and good flavors!

I love apples (preferably granny smiths) with some peanut butter!

I just discovered laughing cow cheese,,, yummy!

low cal berry cobbler..

a bag of frozen berries from Costco. the kind with 3 berries.

put some in a 9 X 13 pan.

mix in a box of cake mix ( MUST be the kind with OUT pudding in the mix!!!!) with one can of diet sprite, 7~up.. what ever...

spread onn top of frozen berries...

cook at 325 (i think! lol) for an hour or a little more..

it is SOOOOO good. I had to make it in a small souffle dish, using part of a cake mix and pouring the clear diet soda from a 2 liter bottle, so I would make only 2 servings ... because the 9 by 13 pan is too big for the two of us and I just kept grazing on it! lol

For a tasty, high fibre snack, spread peanut butter on a graham cracker. Filling and tasty,yet good for you.

For a chocolate craving... a couple chocolate flavored Twizzlers will cost you 60 calories (each is 30 calories).

I always have Tootsie Pops in the house.

There is an edit feature now, you could go and edit the post. I think low calorie pizza is an oxymoron. Just eat less. I refuse to eat foods packaged as fat free or low fat unless it is simply naturally fat free or low fat. Most prepared foods that are fat free and low fat have things added that are worse for you than the regular full fat is in the first place. Also, if trying to lose weight, low carb is MUCH more important than the fat grams. So really pizza is not a food you should really be eating if you want to lose weight. But if you insist on eating pizza then make a homemade pizza with whole wheat crust, a sauce and a sprinkling of mozz cheese. I personally eat all the cheese and meat my heart desires and never gain any weight. I stay very active, but I prefer to eat low carb to maintain a trim body. I have found that carbs are the root of obesity and NOT fat grams.

Filling Meals for under 350 calories

I lost 40 pounds last year and the most important thing I learned was portion control. I ended up using a lot of frozen meals - Lean Cuisine, Smart Ones, Healthy Choice, Honestly Good, etc.They are good, and there are a lot of choices now, and the calorie and fat counts are reasonable. And they are more interesting and tasty than most of the meals I would make myself I know some of you will snarl and post a few snarky comments, don't waste your time. I found these to be much more cost effective, filling and kept my daily calorie intake at about 1450 calories. I cut WAY back on meat, and used a lot of meatless meats, since I also needed to cut back on fat and cholesterol. One egg a week, max. Buying ingredients and not using them is so wasteful, and I can't afford to throw away food/money. I made my own breakfast - oatmeal or my own egg, cheese muffin or PB&J on toast. Lunch, at work, was a frozen meal, or some soup. I used the frozen meals for dinner. It was usually about six when I got home, I don't like to eat late. When my DD and her family moved it, it was a bit harder, since I was doing most of the cooking initially but I did it. I found a smartphone app called "My Fitness Pal" really helped. I've used it for about a year and a half and now I'm pretty comfortable with the portion sizes and do a pretty good job day by day. Good luck. Silvia -- Lunch Box peppers are a smaller version (too small for roasting, though). Lipstick gave us 3.5" to 4.5" sweet peppers that we roasted and canned over 2 gal so far. Our recipe: Roast peppers, sprinkle with sea salt/ kosher salt and cover. While cooling, chop handfuls of fresh parsley, chop garlic cloves and mix all in gently with peppers. Start filling jars with the mixture to about 2" below rim, whatever liquid is left pour into each jar evenly. Add even quantities of red wine vinegar and canola oil (being neutral you get to taste the product, not the oil) to taste --- or to 0.5" below the rim. Seal, shake well and sterilize. Yummy! Tony

No one has been rude and I am truly sorry you feel that way, Lynn. Presenting different information and letting readers see different facets is helpful in developing an understanding, especially when it relates to health issues. We appreciate your help. Surely that does not mean than we cannot bring up other information that might be of value even if it differs from information you have presented?? It seems to me that participatory health, where people have conversations with their health professionals and are encouraged to learn about themselves and whatever medical conditions they may have is a more positive environment than the olden days when the doctor's word was gospel and no one disagreed or asked questions. Teamwork in no way decreases the value of medical professionals, on the contrary, I suspect it may save lives. Doctors make mistakes. Patients mis-comprehend. Without a healthy exchange of information, either of those can result in needless loss of life/good health.

I love the frozen grapes..you can wash them and sprinkle them with sugar free jello for a little differnet taste also.

I mix the cake mix and diet soda and keep the batter in the fridge...then when I want something sweet, I can put a dollop of it into a coffee cup and nuke it...very good.

Yep...I have a hard time with wanting sweets..

frozen bananas are very good also....

ooohhhh... I don't use artificial sweetners and for some reason, I just didn't like the thought of splenda either. And really, I don't use sugar on anything other than a grapefruit or rhubarb anyway. BUT I just tried TRUVIA on a grapefruit for a snack and it WAS GOOD! it tasted great! I might have to keep a few packets on hand

I take the WW one point fudge bar off the stick and make an ice cream sundae out of it. I top it with fat free cool whip, thinly sliced bananas and raspberries. It's Yummy and very filling.

I am also never without my 1 point Vita brownie and chocolate muffins. They are on the expensive side, but I'm worth it :)

Truvia is Stevia, a plant (but you probably already knew that!). I've been using Stevia for about 7 years now... my DH uses it too now instead of sugar.

Lydia.. MY DH actually TRIED it! Which I can't believe, but I think it was my "WOW, I can't believe this tastes so good" comment that took him by surprise... he doesn't eat anything that is "diet" lol
but he liked this!
