It's according to what meat dish is being served. With ham or turkey: always---pineapple casserole and hash brown casserole

your toilet has a built in trap that keeps water in and sewer gas from coming in teh house. after the trap is the drain pipe and this will be empty except during a flush, but the trap will be full of water. when you add anything, water or solid, some of the water in the trap may go on down the drain. it sounds like your drain pipe has water standing in it or else is a vertical drain line and the distance water falls to hit bottom results in a loud enough drip to be heard.

I wrote this on another thread a while back, it's not a classic casserole, but it's easy, quick, and very good. It's my Mom's Italian Zucchini Stew... An onion - chopped Zucchini and/or yellow squash - large bite sized diced Potatoes - large bite sized diced A few cloves of garlic crushed whole, chopped roughly Enough tomato sauce or tomatoes to give it the consistency of stew Heat some olive oil in a pot, toss in the garlic to flavor the oil. Before the garlic burns, toss in the tomatoes and/or sauce. Add onions. Let simmer to meld flavors. Toss in potatoes. Wait until they are softening some, then toss in Zucchini. cook until soft. *** and a few deviations from the Mom... Tonight, as it was finishing, I added cannellini beans and Italian green beans. Please don't ask amounts... it's totally up to you. Besides, Mom just says... "some this, some that...". And don't tell Mom about the beans!

OMG, they all sound delicious! MizzGG, don't you love The Kitchn site? I find so many great recipes there. I've been searching for something along the lines of a breakfast casserole myself, as it would come in handy during the busy upcoming holidays. But, since we've pretty much eliminated potatoes, breads, white and brown rice, and too much cheese (in one dish, I mean), I'm having a problem finding one that is healthful (yes, that word again- lol) and delicious, too. I've been experimenting with a baked casserole using cooked farro, almond milk, eggs and some fresh grated Parmesan cheese in it. I've added chopped kale or spinach to it and green onions. So far, we like it, but I'm still working on the final product before adding it to my website. You all are inspiring me here. I'm thinking that I'll try adding a layer of sautéed mushrooms and turkey bacon next. Maybe substituting Greek yogurt cream cheese for the Parmesan cheese. My best friend is a retired home-ec teacher, and I sometimes run my recipe ideas past her for advise on the quantities, etc. She just read over every recipe on our recipe website for me, just in case. No corrections, thank goodness!
