Box Appliance services Sub Zero/Wolf products in most of the Bay Area. They know Sub Zero/Wolf products very well because that is all they service. However, they are pretty busy so sometimes it takes a while to get an appointment. However, if it is something urgent (like a refrigerator not cooling), they'll move their schedule around to fit you in sooner.

Just purchased the Madison leather queen sleeper sofa from Casco Bay Furniture (cascobayfurniture.com). It's the equivalent of RH's Maxwell sleeper. I got it for $2600 delivered with a five year warranty. Just priced it out on the Restoration Hardware website and it is $5600 delivered (with 6% sales tax in MI)! I'm not sure if I even need to say anything else. The salesman at Casco Bay, Robert Allen, was conscientious beyond expectation and really in my opinion epitomizes quality customer service. Although I don't think they can advertise that it is the same sofa, apparently they approached RH's former manufacturer once RH outsourced it overseas and are now selling it directly. I'll add this: I am a physician, I pay way too much attention to detail, so believe me when I say this sofa is the exact same thing at less than half the price.

How can you say they are all fools? There are thousands of purchases everyday online with goods that consumers have never seen and most are satisfied with what they purchase. With that logic in the next 20 years more than half of the country will be fools. I would not say you are a fool if you purchase site unseen; just do your research. If you can not find a lot on the company and they have been in business for more than a year it may be because people generally only talk about the bad stuff and say nothing of the good. I would make sure that any store you purchase from has a showroom and is not just sitting in an office taking orders. It is very easy to close an office and bankrupt your company leaving consumers with no way to get their refund/deposit back. It is much harder to close an entire operating store down and slip into the abyss. The other thing I would say is to be wary of any box store, you will be just a number, and trust your instincts they are usually right. Make sure you get everything in writing and if the process is very vague that should raise a red flag. Those of us who have been in the business can tell you the whole process up front and everything is very transparent.

Hello Detmed, I've seen your postings on the Casco Bay Madison sleeper soft and I wanted to get your feedback now that you have had it for many months... how are the down cushions holding up? The leather? Can you feel the bars of the mattress through the cushions? How is the sleeper mattress holding up? Any feedback on how this has been wearing for you would be really appreciated. Anyone else who has this sleeper, please feel free to chime in as well!
