Thats an interesting point you bing up there dmlove. I never thought of that. Although our current side table lamps are those cheap IKEA frosted rectangular lights that sit right on the table and are open on top. My wife seems to read OK with them (I guess I should verify this...). The pendants I had in mind would be lightly frosted. I was thinking the Hampton Bay Architect if I can get it in Canada. A linear chandelier describes the shape. Modern describes the style. For your table, you need a linear shaped chandelier, The style of the other fixtures in the room is modern. So, you really need a linear, modern chandelier. That is what I recommend. What would you want different from that? Thanks.
