You can add me to the list. I actually finished treatment for cervical cancer in November of 2008, but continue to go for checkups every few months. Please pray for continued good health for me. Thank you SO much! Prayer works.

Thank you, Trin. I keep reading here and there about those of us who have cancer and I've lost track. It was out of laziness so that I could have a (hopefully) complete list here!

I would appreciate prayers for myself. I was told once to never pray for yourself so I don't. But I have friends that suffer from various cancers or other illnesses that I do pray for.

Mine is lung cancer stage IV & I now go for chemo (Avastin)every 3 weeks & take Tarceva at home in a pill form. I've stayed stable for the past year & I do thank God for that & thank you bigbaby for your prayers.

Thank you so much, Sue ... I certainly do appreciate any and all prayers on my behalf.

My breast cancer was discovered last spring and I immediately had a bi-lateral mastectomy. I was fortunate, the cancer remained contained in the tumor (no lymph node involvement according to the sentinal nodes) and no chemotherapy or radiation treatment was necessary. I do take Femara for five years, which is a cancer inhibitor that is HE11 on my joints ...

For me, I think Cancer is so very frightening because it comes in a trillion forms and can strike anywhere! I caught this one ... but cannot let my guard down for even a moment, in case it pops up somewhere else. In the back of my mind, the fact that I've had one form of it now, means my immunity is down and I'm more susceptable to other forms of it. The oncologist said that isn't really true ... but it's what I think and feel.

Thank you Sue, all your prayers are welcomed. I was diagnosed with Colon cancer in Sept.(still can't believe it)I'm doing well, still going for chemo 7 treatments down and 5 to go. I feel fine except for the 4 days after chemo when I'm nauseous and extremely tired. Still doing everything I did before, I won't let this cancer own me, I own it and we are going to do this my way!! LOL

Believe me it changes your life and every new thing scares the crap out of you.My right arm gives me lots of problems becase of the node removal,so there's always reminders,even though you try to forget about it.Like Stoney i'm also on Femera,which comes with it's own set of problems.

Keeping all of you in thoughts and prayers that we will beat this beast.

I'll pray for anyone with cancer, I've lost so many to Ca. I hate that disease. I'm knitting a chemo cap in my knitting class. we're going to donate them to St. Baldrick's Cancer Drive. Last year the class gave over 100 hats. This year our goal is double!

Please pray for my husband who is going through treatment following esophageal cancer. He had chemo, radiation, surgery and now follow-up chemo. Thank you so much.

I also pray for all those I know who have cancer. In addition I pray that those involved in research will soon find a cure.

Jannie,One of the gals on here,(i didn't get permission to put her name,so won't) anyway she knitted me a few chemo caps,and she did one called "No hair hat day") it was my and many of my friends favorite hat.She made one that was in shades of grey,which suited me to a T.

The pattern is a freebie on line.

Not to hijack this thread, but there are so many here that are dealing with cancer, health issues, internal struggles. I love the idea of this whole thread.
I was wondering if anyone wanted to go to the "Light a Candle" site and we set it up for all KT'rs in need or healing, be it physical or whatever else their struggle might be. There's a way to label them as a KT group, and the candles stay lit for 48 hours. Maybe we could all set a day/time, go their & let our light shine for all those in need.

Would anyone else be interested? I go there & light candles all the time for those who need the light to find their way through the dark times. Just a thought....

I've been fighting it for the past two years. Started in colon and spread to liver and lungs. As far as I know now its just in my lungs. I will have a ct scan next week and we'll see if the chemo has been doing it's job.

I had breast cancer 10 years ago, and I found out last January that it had returned in my other breast. I had 17 chemos and just finished my last radiation this past Thursday. I appreciate that you are making a prayer list, and I pray for all of you.

Like catclaws, I have a candle lighted at the candle site for several years for all friends, family and the patients at the KT and GW. It's self explanatory. If catclaws want's to start one for the KT, all she needs to let us know the group name, or you can do it for yourself.

I started a group at the candle lighthting place. The group is called KT and the candle is called KT. I think anyone can light a candle for a specific person in the KT group.

bigbaby, thank you so much for starting this list. I pray daily for several folks, Printed out your current list. I journal each day, and if I have my list of names, can remember each one by name. We have wonderful people here that need our prayers. Lost my sweet daddy 20 years ago to colon cancer.

What a lovely thread. Please keep this going and I will join you in prayers for those afflicted and those researchers trying to find the cure.

My friend Jamie was just diagnosed last month with breast cancer.

Sue, What a wonderful thing to do. I am setting here in tears. I have kept the list of KTers and others who need our prayers and will be praying for each and everyone. I don't post often, but when I come in a read, I feel such a warmth around me...

Thanks, bigbaby, for setting up the KT Candle Group -- I saw at least 9 candles from KT peeps. It is so easy to do & I find it very spiritual & quiet place to meditate on and/or say a prayer.

If someone doesn't want to light a candle, at least visit the site to see "our KT group" & look at the glowing candles. The light is there to shine on us all.
PS the praying doesn't stop after 48 hours!

That list took my breath away - so many of our KT'ers .... it's just heartbreaking.

My Dad had his stomach removed this time last year due to stomach cancer and we're so thankful that he's alive and still active at 88.

My BIL however, has melanoma and in dreadful pain. We just hope he's strong enough to travel to Australia next week to see if he's a candidate for a drug trial.

If you could add me to your list, I would really appreciate it. I just found out yesterday that I have cancer of the colon. I am scheduled for surgery on March 8 and I am praying so much that it will not have spread. I am still in shock - and disbelief - and I'm so frightened. So I would be grateful for any prayers you could send my way. Thank you.

I have a question about the candle website. After 48 hours can you relight someone's candle or do you have to do theirs again?
