We just pulled one out. It was a Kindred and served us well for 10 years.

Why did you pull yours out? Were you remodeling? Do you think these look out of date?

I had one in my previous house and loved it. I always have my dish drainer out and use it constantly. If you are the type who does not use a dish drainer regularly, you might not appreciate it as much. I am planning a reno on my current kitchen and have already purchased another one... this time on craigÂs list for $125 vs the $1250 new 10 years ago! Which brings to mind the one con I can think of ----price!
Although in my previous house, I had granite counters with the drain board sink, I feel that this type of sink opens up the option of a wood counter around the sink; an option that I might otherwise be hesitant to consider.

This is a construction photo but it shows my custom stainless counter with integrated sink and drain board...I love it!!! I will never have a kitchen without one in the future. It's a dream

I have an old one, part of a drop-in s/s sink with attached drainbooard which makes its home in an unfitted sink cabinet. I love it in theory but mine, through age or uneven floors (old house), doesn't drain like it should. Instead, the water puddles up underneath the dishrack and I have to sweep it into the sink with my hand or it will spill over its lip and run down the side of the cabinet. I love the idea of it, and if I can convince DH to go with stainless counters in our kitchen remodel, I'd do an intergrated one like Igloochic's. It's very low maintenance, never shows wipe marks and I like the streamlined look.

"Intergrated"? Argh. You know what I meant.

Igloochic, is that the only stainless counter area i.e. that we see in the picture? How does it integrate into the rest of the counter space? It looks great. I had originally wanted something like this but was having troubling visualizing how it would fit into the quartz countertop that surrounded the range.

The marine edge (raised up 1/8 inch around the permiter of the counter) is a must for an intERgrated sink :oP (ya we know what you mean). I'm going to reproduce this in an unfitted cabinet style sink in our new victorian kitchen because I need to have it fit style wise with the victorian, but don't want to lose the wonderful function of this sink!
