Where is Marilyn-Sue and her daily posts?

Haven't seen her in a while but I miss reading about her day, what's she cooking, etc... I hope she's ok. I went back and found a post of hers and someone passed away in her family. I missed that post first time around and hope she is doing ok.

I bet she's sitting at her sewing machine making baby clothes for that new grandbaby they are expecting next month. She had mentioned she was behind with that.

Hope she sews fast and gets back here soon!!

Thanks for asking. Just another busy week. Sunday was church, then we went with Cheryl and Kevin to eat at Captain D's. We also got to go into Joann's and pick up a few things. Monday was a bad day weather wise but we didn't stay home, the four of us once again went out to eat at Ryan's with a stop at another Joann Fabrics to get a bit. I can't recall what I did on Tuesday. Wednesday was an appointment to get a perm. Cheryl and Kevin took me and picked me up. Amber was to go and get a trim but she has been sick with a bad sore throat. She is much better now. After they picked me up we went to shop for our groceries. I also shopped for our son's groceries as he too is sick and also for Amber's. I really had a cart full of stuff. We also delivered things. Thursday was more puppy sitting as Amber had her weekly doctor check up. Today we have about 6 inches of snow. Since the snow plow hadn't been down our country road, husband stayed home. So I had 3 meals to cook today. I have been sorting through things in my sewing room and the big closet in there. Have a lot of stuff to take to Goodwill whenever we can. I am not finished. The days just go by so fast for me.

Thank you everyone for all of the very nice compliments, I never expected so many to reply! Yes, Izzi is a wonderful little dog and always happy. The dishes are Amber's and they are opalescent moonstone. Different companies made them. We started her collecting and helped her collect when she was still a teenager at home. The cabinets on the wall by themselves are new. Last summer she painted all the old cabinets and they bought new for that one area and painted them to match. They put all new hardware on them and bought new counter top for all the lower cabinets. Their home is not new, it was built in the 1980's. My picture was taken last Fourth of July at their home and I was quite warm from helping get things ready for our cook out. Thank you very much Liz Ga for posting our pictures. Again thank you all.

Thank you Marie for missing me. I have been around. Keeping really busy since warm weather is now with us most of the time. The kids planted two more long rows of potatoes again last evening. That makes four of them, not planting any more though. Planted a couple rhubarb plants recently and some red raspberry plants. This morning we were with out power for an hour and 40 minutes. They notified us the night before we would be with out but it would only be for a half hour. Then Amber, Alyssa and I went to do our weekly shopping. No real bargains to be had at the grocery. We came home and got both of our groceries put away and took long rides around on the big rig with my Izzi and Amber's Yorkie, Lily. Alyssa has been really enjoying the rides. Yesterday I went along the paths we take and put some yard ornaments along the way and some artificial flowers, for her to see. She is always happy when we come up on them in the woods and here and there. I need to get out some bird houses I have and get those put up. So it is just the usual things going on around here. And now, I am feeling embarassed as well. I posted on the thread bacause I "assumed" (you know what that makes me!) that MarilynSue was being too casual about her medical visit and new meds. And, I just wish someone would have tried to impress upon me that diabetes has a component that is so "insidious". The vision problems that creep up, the neuropathy (nerve damage)in feet, legs and hands the kidneys. I have been there.....not taking those numbers as seriously as I should have, and even now I push the envelope too frequently. I really admire the posters that come here and say that they really stick to their food plan. I AM so lucky. Everything has worked for me and I still have neuropathy....mostly from being in denial for a long time. Too much info, I am sure, Nanny Anyway, I hope that the messages were taken in the spirit that they were offered. I most certainally did identify with her.
