No Annie, Thank YOU!!!!

Look at my wonderful bounty! Annie sent these to me as a âthank youâ for the Monster! We both sent boxes without notes included! She wrote one and forgot to put it in...I, on the other hand, didn't even do that! I KNEW I would forget it, so I didn't write one to begin with! LOL!

Her famous salsa, hot and mild

Sweet and Spicy sauce

Catsup

Cowboy candyâ¦oh yeah!!

Blueberry jam

I havenât made Annieâs salsa in a few years, so we are sooo ready to dive into that! Iâve always wanted to try the catsup, now I can! This weekend, for sure!! I love hot, Hot, HOT foodâ¦so the chili sauce, sweet and spicy sauce, and the cowboy candy are going to be my favorites!! I love blueberry!!! That'll be opened in just a few minutes! :)

Annie, I am so happy the MM works for you!!! However, I am the one who was on the better end of this deal!! :) I will get more use and FAR more pleasure out of your goodies than I did out of the Monster!!

Hey MrLike2u... Yes its has been awhile since I had the NBC...It was given to me from one of my girlfriends...she actually divided the whole plant and repotted it for me...I guess that it was in so much shock that it took several years for it to bloom...But the last time that it did bloom, I had about 20 flowers...I even had to call out for my trip...it was that important for me to see them bloom that night!! (I work for the airlines) but thankfully, the scheduler loves plants too!!! So she resheduled my trip by two days!! So I did get to see the magic that night!!! SO when I lost the plant...i was really bummed...needless to say that the Mr/Mrs that donated it to me was a kind person..and I certainly am thankful... The fragrance is hard to describe to some..but the ones that have had the pleasure of witnessing this ....is priceless!!! Did you understand what i as trying to explain earlier in the post about you saying that you could see something? "prior agreements will always be respected..." Thank you for the compliments on the screens!!! They are a little large for me... But I will be excited to get started...They are 3/8 1/4 and I need to find the 1/8 or insect screen...that will be on the list to do tomorrow!!! I will definately keep them dry... Question? Where can I find the covered screen that i see others cut into small squares to cover the bottom of the holes in the pots? It looks like its plastic or something like that...Any ideas? The only thought that comes to mine at the moment is needlepoint or crossstitch netting...Thanks for any help!! Hope all is well up north!!! Take care everyone... Laura in VB

Hello Annie, Thank you for your gracious hospitality to this newcomer. You were a wonderful host and I enjoyed getting to know so many of the GW group. Someone mentioned they were anticipating the event like Christmas. It certainly was all that. I just love the swap idea and I think my first will always be the best. I do hope that you heal quickly. So sorry that happened to you. Thank you to all the generous gardeners as well. I planted a few things tonight but will have even more fun tomorrow! What a wonderful day all around. Susan

Deb, you're welcome. I wish I'd have had some of the hot and spicy catsup left, instead of the milder and sweeter stuff, and I had no mustard at all. Darn it.

The Cowboy Candy is one of Carol's (Readinglady) recipes, it's basically a bread and butter pickle made with jalapenos instead of cucumbers. Elery loves 'em, so I hope you do too.

It's no where near enough of a thank you for your generosity, Deb, but you know I do thank you.

Great haul Deb! I make Annie's Salsa and it's delish as I'm sure all her homemade goodies are! As for the chili sauce it isn't very spicy, actually I can't really describe the taste don't know why they call it what they do!

By the way Deb, we are in Ogunquit today head for Kennybunkport tomorrow...I'll be looking for a bench in a park, near a church, for our picnic ; )

Deb, I'm glad Sharon chimed in, the chile sauce is not hot at all, more sweet, it actually makes an awesome batch of sloppy joes...

But it's good, and it's a forum recipe and I had some and, well, you know.

I will still love the chili sauce even if it's not hot! But thanks for the heads up..so I'll change how I use it! :)

LOL, Chase!! Give my MIL a wave as you drive by!! If you don't eat a meal in Kennebunk, at least get a whoopie pie (HB Provisions, as you head into the port from the beach...actually, I'm sure they're just about anywhere!!).
