Protect fridge door from dent/crease
Comments (2)I had something similar. I used one of those clear bumpers too. I stuck it on some of the large floor moulding (about 5" high and quite thick, so that's where the door hit) and it worked fine. I only have a picture of it during the remodel, but the fridge that went in the spot was counter depth and in danger of banging the moulding....See MoreDeep Creases in bed sheet
Comments (178)I think the problem is caused by how washing machines now work compared to how they worked 20 years ago. I have a new top loader, without the traditional center post agitator. Washing the top sheet separately, on "delicate" setting and "deep fill". Wastes water though. Iron the hem as soon as the spin cycle stops, before going in the dryer. Older machines used to fill the tub with water, which probably resulted in less compressing of the items being washed, which resulted in less creasing during the wash cycle. Now, washing machines on normal cycles use much less water, so the items being washed appear to be subject to more compressing. The hems appear to bend more during that process than the lighter edges. Also, the spin cycle is faster with newer washing machines. I suspect that the low spin cycle on a newer machine is still noticeably faster than the low spin cycle on a washing machine made 20 years ago. If you wash the top sheet by hand in a tub, I suspect there would be no creasing on the top hem, but who wants to do that every week....See MoreCrease or no Crease
Comments (36)Not in most of my pants, only the ones dressy enough to wear with high heals (another thing I almost never wear). But DH likes them in his work pants, mostly Dockers kind of thing. Still, if I hang them up with the fold the right way straight from the dryer, it usually holds enough of a crease for him. No starch, never ever bought starch in my life. MIL ironed my kids' jeans to leave a crease in them when she was helping out once. My kids were highly offended. Creased jeans might have been the proper thing then DH was a boy, but my kids would not wear them to school that way. LOL. They thought their jeans (and reputations) would be ruined, I was LMBO at them!...See MoreDoes creasing matter
Comments (3)AJ I do know what you mean, the last thing in silk I sewed I used a very light weight stabelizer, it helps but the creases do come, I don't know what would stop that, I have a friend who wants me to make a Kimono from silk she bought in Japan, I don't want to do this..... I have started using a product called Wrinkle Releaser, it is a spray bottle solution if I have something I need to wear and a few wrinkles I hang it on my closet door and spray let it set and dry, most wrinkles look better after that .Doesn't show on the fabrics after it is dry. As far as the jacket, I think that is a lovely gift for a friend, print out some instructions of cleaning too, I do love when I receive something someone has made, to me it shows how much they think of you. go on, make the jacket :) rene...See Morepekemom
