I just spent time looking at JoAnn's photo site

I spent quite a long time looking at the sites JoAnn has at the bottom of the photo page. It was really interesting to take a walk down memory lane. But it was also sad to see how many people no longer are on here.

One that didn't have a picture on there that I often wonder about is gingertn. And another was the one who had the tiger paws as her signature. And MaryRose no longer posts. Anyone ever hear from these gals.

I loved the pictures of Velleen and Vince.....also MaryAnnTx when your twins were babies. If you have some time, KTers, spend some time over there. It's really neat and I thank JoAnn for putting so much of the history under one roof.

Yes, Ginger is doing great!!! I'll tell her she was asked about and maybe she'll stop by. A lot of KT'ers have been at Facebook more lately (myself included).

Cindy, thank you, I do love a variety! Isle of Zanzibar still mesmerizes me when I see it bloom! Lisa, I've had Morrie Ott for about six years in my garden. It is one of my all time favorite mini's. Some of those pretty edges you refer to had a hard time opening this morning. Mississippi Memories being one of them. Sharon, thank you. Enchanting Esmerelda is one of those that need to be in the garden for its performance and beauty. Will always reside here! Julia, I love my neck of the woods because the dormants do well here as well as MOST of the southern breds. I feel I have the best of both worlds as far as what I can decide to grow here! I've had Cerise Masterpiece three years. It has not increased rapidly for me here. Started as a single fan, now has three fans and the blooms still are not pristeen. Hopefully it will show itself off a lot better by end of this season! dreamingdaylilies, I moved Way Past Cool to my new deer protected bed last fall, so this picture really doesn't show it in its full beauty. I'm sure it will settle in nicely tho. As far as Morrie Otte goes...I've never had a problem with Morrie here. You might be right as far as temps being too cool. Rita, one of the reasons I like looking at all your picks! You have so many things I don't that I get nothing but pure enjoyment looking at yours! Well, you guys have been having fun! I just love the feel of Chanel products, and I generally trust their colors, too. It is a lot of hassle to "put on your face" but who doesn't look better? I agree the eyes are the trickiest part. I had make up done professionally several times, often for bright lighting situations and I am always aghast at how much eyeliner and mascara is used. It looks terrific but it makes one so self-conscious. Not to mention, if it is not done perfectly, it does veer from terrific to horrific pdq. I would also recommend Bobbi Brown, for a daytime look. Very subtle. SueB. save your lipstick for evening. I don't think, for health reasons, you can take back anything that has been touched.

I will have to write to Mother and get the name, location and hours of that store. I would love to get you a phone number so you could call ahead, but the only phone in town is in a phone booth in the park....LOL (Don't you believe that either...all those Amish folks now have a cell phone hidden deep in a pocket..... LOL) I asked the lady how she could afford to have such low prices and still make deals like she gave Mother. She said it was easy. The land under the store is part of her families farm, the lumber to build the building was harvested from their own woodlot and cut in their sawmill. The building was built by her 7 uncle's and 5 brothers. They have no light bill or gas bill, taxes are an absolute minimum because their town has no fire dept, police dept or or other expensive infrastructure and all the employees who work in the store with her are daughters or other family members, who are content to work for minimum wage and occassionally other ladies in the community help out and take their pay in trade. Now for you ladies who are familiar with Youngstown & Boardman, here are a couple flash from the past memory photos for you: Lanternman Mill, the grist mill in Millcreek park. The actual wooden water wheel that powers the mill is inside the building in the stone section at the bottom. They did that to protect the wheel from freezing in winter.(you can see the bridge upstream from the mill) The covered bridge in Millcreek park: I could put on a complete show of photos of flowers from Fellowes Gardens botanical garden in Mill Creek Park.

I do not want to go contemporary. If we remove the decorative trim and paint garage and front door……or get new garage door and front door what color would you suggest? We are going to purchase transitional black light fixtures.

Hey Ladies!!! Haley sent me a message and I've been meaning to come say hello. I am just so busy these days, I can hardly check FB even - which is where I keep up w/ most friends and family anymore. I miss the KT so much, I really do. It's just hard to get everything done.

I have a 9 month old baby girl, Ada, and you all probably remember Bradley. He's 5 1/2 now and has started Kindergarten. Fun and busy times!!! I will try to do better about stopping in over here, I've been wanting to check some other GardenWeb sites b/c I'd like to garden again this year. I missed last year, having a newborn.

Glad to see you all remember me! Thanks for asking about me. And if you do FB please friend me. I am friends with Jo Ann and a few others on here. Talk to you soon!
