or does it even matter?
My 91 yr old FIL is exhibiting sings of.....?
He repeats questions over and over.
Constantly opens doors and drawers.
Goes to wash his hands in the garage at least 20 times a day.
Has to tear up the newspaper before placing it in the garbage.
Move and misplaces anything left on a counter.
Can't remember where something belongs.
Cannot even make himself a sandwich.
Can't recall if he's eaten or not.
Can't identify familiar items such as a jar of mayonaisse.
Becomes easily confused.
Has to go outside to sweep the sidewalk, porch or back patio of "sand" that only he sees.
Has lately not wanted to bathe or shampoo his hair.
Is becoming beligerent when he's reminded of the correct way to do something.
I think it's Alzheimers; my SIL is adament that it's merely dementia.
I'm not sure if it even makes any difference at this point.
What do you think?
