Thanks Tina, and yes I'm getting excited, but I won't be moving in for at least 4-5 months. I can begin cleaning it up though in a month or so when DH finishes the flooring and molding in the great room.

I'm thinking about Honeycomb shades that open top and bottom so I can bring down the top for light and keep the bottom down for privacy. I'll most probably want some type of curtain, but haven't a clue what design, etc. yet.

That's so pretty and peaceful looking.

Brutuses, You have such great taste! I love the large tiles and their coloring. I love the bead-board on the walls and that beautiful serene paint color. I wish that was my shower stall with that area to make it easier to shave legs. I love the Jacuzzi. The identical two sinks are beautiful with their dark rich wood. The mirrors are great and so is the lighting! You and your husband are both so talented. What size is this tile again? Is this a tile from Lowe's also? It is truly beautiful.

I really want to change out my tile in my bathrooms but that won't be for over another year since I still have my floors to do in my three downstairs room and I want to tile my kitchen and maybe a backslash. My poor upstairs will not be able to have renovations except I may do the laundry room floor that was never finished and under the washer and dryer is cement an everywhere else is that commercial utility tile. I know after by busy season, I may only be able to do the floors and may have to leave the dishwasher go for another year if it lasts that long. Unless, I replace the dishwasher and wait to do the kitchen floors at a later date.

If you go with Honeycomb shades for the windows, make sure you choose either cordless or retractable cords. I really dislike the long cords on my top/down bottom/Up honeycombs in my home office but I love my Hunter Douglas Duet Top Down Bottom UP honeycomb blinds mainly due to the retractable cords.

It's magnificent! The craftsmanship and finishing choices are impeccable.

That light is NOT up to code :oP (neither are mine heh heh) and I absolutely adore it. Not as much as I do the blue cord...which I have (it's twin) stretched across my living room since that power isn't up yet either...

Really though, it's a lovely room. Simple and elegant all at the same time!

I guess the .1% is the toilet paper holder? I just noticed how nice it was to have all that room around the toilet since mine toilet is crowded and then I realized that you still have to install a toilet paper holder or have one of those pretty floor toilet paper holders.

Brutuses, I am so glad you posted this as your Bathroom is almost exactly like mine,and I have been wanting to put up the wayne's coating but didn't know how to tie it in so-to-speak where the toilet wall meets the tub area! The way you did it looks great, so I showed DH and we are going ahead with it!!! LOL Thank you!!!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. I can't tell you the big sigh of relief I feel having it done and look good. This room was the one I was most afraid of because we had to keep changing our design plan due to budget constraints. The way I chose things here, there and everywhere, I was very scared the room would come out looking like a big mistake. Thanks again.

Garden - the color is BM Gray Cashmere 2138-60

Lynn - the floor tile is 20" x 20" and we purchased it from a local tile store called Perque's. The wall and tub tile is from Lowe's, however, that size which I believe is 10 x 8, has been discontinued.

declansmom, you are making me blush. Thanks for that glowing opinion of my home, but I'm no decorator. That will be exposed when it comes time for me to accessorize.

The truth is, I've learned so much from the people on this forum and in doing so have gained self confidence and knowledge that helps me in my decisions.

I'm always glad to give my opinion if someone asks for it, but they need to know I'm not an expert.

In building this house I have learned so much and am still learning. It has been quite an adventure. I've come a long way from all white walls!!

Uh-oh...last summer Dh replaced all the walls in our garage with real wood bead board, and then had to prime and paint it all. I bet he'd have used this if we'd known. And what about the trim at the edge of the wainscoting, is that prefinished too?

Thanks Susan, no the trim is not the PVC trim that they sell with the beadboard. It is more expensive than wood. The wood is actually not a molding typically used for beadboard, but is actually a casing material. DH routed out the back on the thick end so it would fit over the beadboard. This way we could get the look we wanted for less money. We purchased that molding at a wholesale trim and molding warehouse. A bunch of these little secrets throughout my house. When you're trying to make it look good but don't have the finances, you get real creative, i.e., the formica window sills in place of granite.

Just a GORGEOUS bathroom -- really wonderful -- well done!

Brutuses, Thanks for letting me know the floor tile is 20 X 20 and looks great on a diagonal! Maybe I will do my kitchen with big tiles then if the floor is level after my busy season. Do you know the brand name and color of the floor tile since I feel that will look perfect in my kitchen. What color and width is your grout since it looks perfect with the tiles?

I love my tiled foyers so much and glad I chose the mushroom color grout but I want a tile bigger than 12 X 12 and for my kitchen, I want some roughness but no tiny pits. I am also so glad I chose the diagonal design which I knew was what I wanted when I saw all your tiled floor pictures.

By the way, I can't seem to get the humidity of my home up past 30% so I am now back to considering the Makore, Cabrueve or Pradoo laminate unless I buy one more humidifier and see if the humidity can be reached at 35% to 55% in order to buy the engineered wood. The laminate was very real looking and I liked the Makore the best but I kept wishing it was a bit more red.

Lynn, I don't know the brand name of the tile. I'll have to try and find it out for you. Like I said, I bought it a local flooring place and if I remember correctly it was a name brand so you would be able to find it where you live. Let me see what I can find out and I'll get back to you.

brutuses, you did the same thing as what we did in the paint color and the wainscoting.We did the same beautiful green and the white wainscoting in the house that we used to live in, it was a Victorian Style House over 100 years old, we had the new white pedestal sink instead of the 2 sinks. You've done a fantastic job on the Bathroom.

Bravo!!! Very classy. I love the contrast of the dark vanities against the beadboard. And I need to get me some BM Gray Cashmere. Love the pic with the lawn chair. lol.

Like southernheart said, it couldn't be more perfect. I love the wall color, the bead board, the light fixtures, and best of all those two sink vanities (with matching mirrors).

Regarding honeycomb shades...have you checked to make sure they'll do OK with the humidity that collects after a shower? My neighbor put those shades in her kids bedroom. Not long after I noticed they had been taken down so I asked what happened. She told me they were ruined by the moisture created by the humidifier (why she wanted to create a humid environment I do not know, maybe it's good for children).

thanks flyingflower, and about the shades. I think I remember reading that they come in a material that stands up to wet and humid areas. I'll have to check, but I think that was my first concern when I decided to get them. Thanks for mentioning, very good point. If the honeycomb shades don't work out I'll opt for shutters, but they are so costly, I was trying to avoid having to get them. I wish I didn't have a privacy issue, but I do.

Nice colors, like the floor tiles, I have similar look like the Roman Gold 20" by 20" that has now been discontinued by Lowes. I would be very careful when exiting the Jacuzzi with Wet Feet! I learned the hard way; those large tiles & wet feet and you will end up on your keister. The spouse
has now put a small rug their and I sit on the edge of tub & dry my feet BEFORE venturing away from the tub.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Virginia, that tub was built with that ledge and stairs so I won't be doing any "flying" across the floor. LOL As unsteady on dry land as I am, I know to be very, very careful. LOL The tile in our kitchen is a sister to the one you mention and it also was discontinued just as we bought ours and we were lucky to find enough to finish the kitchen. This tile is one we found at a local tile store that we originally bought for the kitchen then changed out mind and put it in the bath.

Very, very pretty. I especially like the extra details, such as the tile on the diagonal. I too have a window above my tub - have decided to try plantation shutters, with a divider 2/3 of the way up, allowing those louvres to stay open. In a pvc, due to humidity. I'll know how they work out in about 6 weeks (when they are installed). Until then, we'll be crawling on the floor.

chloe, crawling on the floor, LOL Please post a photo of your new shutters if you don't mind. I'm trying to decide between shutters and honey combs that open from the top and bottom. After I see your shutters maybe I'll have a clearer picture of what I want.

I figure if I get shades I'll still need some type of curtain to dress the window, but on the other hand I think shutters are great alone and then I won't need anything, but them.

Would you mind telling me where you purchased your shutters?
