When getting near home in freezing weather, or an extended stop, operate the windshield wipers to clear the glass - a lot easier to clear them when stuff on them isn't frozen, than scraping after the car sat for a while and it froze on. Maybe brush off the other windows as well - same reason. Also, open the windows an inch or two when a mile or so from home, to let the humid warm air inside the car clear out, rather than settling on the inside of the glass as frost when chilled. On the Prairies, many add several sheets of clear plastic with a foam rubber separater on the various sheets of glass to keep them from getting so badly frosted up that one can't see out at all. Also a good idea to leave the side windows open an inch or so when the car is sitting, to forestall those ice crystals forming on the inside of the glass. (Iva Mae gave me a nice candy/cookie semi-lunch the other day, as a matter of fact ... and she sent it home with me ... so I guess it's I who was/is out to lunch, or half-way so). ole joyful

I'd love to help the restaurants, but staying home is safer. I'd consider one like I posted earlier where they are selling food kits like uncooked steak or burgers, uncooked eggs, gallon of milk and a roll of toilet paper. I had a pancake request for breakfast. I made them thinner almost like a tortilla. Those not eaten were turned into breakfast tacos by adding leftover ground sausage, eggs and a little cheese. They can be a quick meal or snack for later on. I'm trying really hard to make sure no food gets wasted. Tonight we are having chicken strips, fried squash and salad.
