Annie was famous for her salsa long before GW posted a similar link a few years ago.... And with good reason, her salsa rocks! But it is nice to see her in the spotlight again.

My son is coming over tomorrow for our annual salsa day. He likes it medium hot, I like it mild.

I've been pulling out the jars and rings, and my time saving alligator chopper. Off to get lids and tomatoes and onions, etc. etc.

I still have a few jars of salsa from past years. Good stuff.

I have been wondering if Annie saw that. It's been a couple of weeks so I assumed she did and was being humble.

And I can call Annie my Irish-Native American (Cherokee for me) potato loving "sister". HA! kidding :)

Jude makes Annie's salsa pretty darn well. I need to get off my can and learn how to can.

Yes, I saw it. I was "featured" a couple of years ago here too, and I was even on Twitter once. Not that I saw it because I don't know how to twitter, LOL. Hey, at least Alexa remembers it.

I did post to that thread, I've made my first double batch of the year. My girls tell me if I ever get rich and famous, it's going to be for that salsa.

And, L2C46, not only are you a friend, but you got a jar of that salsa. (grin)

FYI - 12 large tomatoes, peeled, chopped and drained, makes about 8 cups.

We've got our first batch cooking now. I got 30 pounds of tomatoes at the farm market this morning.

Momj47, maybe it's here but does it seem that the tomatoes are just huge this year?

That's not a complaint, but like you, I did a couple of dozen tomatoes and got a double batch.
