I Have Exciting News (Part 2)

A lot of you know my friends daughter Eirene, sings and has a wonderful voice. Everyone that hears her says her voice was "Given by Someone"!*S*

Last Monday she auditioned for "Alabamas Got Talent". She understood they would CALL her by Tuesday if she won, but according to the paper she was given..it was by Thursday. Either way..she never heard from them. Then this morning Eirenes sister in law checks her email..something she does about once every week or so!! (Eirene had used her email address because she doesn't have one)Right there in her In box was the Notification email telling Eirene out of the 300 acts, SHE 1 of the 75 that's BEEN CHOSEN!!! The email was sent LAST TUESDAY!!! The 2nd round of auditions is THIS Friday...in Atlanta! Please keep her in your Thoughts & Prayers! This could be the results!!

The winning performer or act from each performance will receive a $1,000 cash prize and be eligible to audition for the National AmericaÂs Got Talent casting director in Atlanta on February 20.

I usually don't watch that show but I'll be there front and center in front of the tv if she gets on it. I wish her ALL the best.

That's great news. I am happy for you especially since your son is military. No matter how any of us feel about the war, we appreciate our military people. We spent many holidays alone. Because of the parents and step parents issue, I decided what ever day my children could be with us was "the" holiday. The Christmas my oldest granddaughter was four, they were stationed in Abeline. We lived in San Antonio and my son's father lived in Kingsvile and my DIL's mother lived in Robstown. The kids had their Christmas at home and then drove to SA. The next day we had our Christmas. The day after they drove to Robstown and had Christmans at my DIL's mother's house. They went to my ex's on Christmas morning and had Christmas. Soooooo,my granddaughter got up the day after Christmas expecting it all to happen again. She was a tad disappointed.

Hi Marti, To be honest, I've been so focused on my "side" of the trades that I have forgotten. I love asters and if you have one for me, I will love it. I'm so sorry that you aren't coming, but do understand about hubby's and projects. The trick is to get your hubby involved and bring him with you :-). I hope Sylvia's coming in a vehicle large enough for your brug because I don't want to bring it back home :-) Anyway, happy home improvements! Can you send your hubby over to help scape the rest of the popcorn off my ceilings? Just joking :-) I can't paint my walls or redo the floors until we get the ceiling done also and we need a kick start on it. Pam

Happy for you! But, you know, this is the KT. You have to tall us *all about* this guy: How did they meet? What does he do for a living? What's his family like? And his friends??? (You never marry just one person; you get the lot!) Has he been married before? How old is he? Where's he from? Does he have children? Oh, and VERY important: How does he treat his MOTHER? LOL

I'm green with envy, can't wait to see yours blooming. I am really wanting Fighting Fire, Bullfrog Kisses, & Stealth Bomber. I especially like the red of Fighting Fire. Crimson Edges is another at the top of my wish list this year. Debra got me wanting new coreopsis, & the last couple of weeks I have found several new ones. I'm having a hard time finding the right place for them. One nice thing about coreopsis, they root from cutting really easily, so I have visions of these all over the place :) I may run out of space for daylilies.
