I Have Exciting News! (Part 1)

Actually I have TWO pieces of exciting news..but will do a different post for each!
MY

DAUGHTER

IS

GETTING

MARRIED!!!!

I am beyond elated!! I love this guy so much I considered asking him to marry ME...just to keep him in the Family!! lol Guess he decided he'd rather have Christy as his wife instead of a step-daughter!!

The wedding is Feb.14!*S*

It's kind of bittersweet, because her Dad won't be here to walk her down the aisle and give her away. Andy will be giving her away in his place!

Thanks, Schoolhouse, My husband lost my old photos that I had on my computer from the last 5 years or so. I can't seem to find many older ones. Thanks for the feedback on the fence. Heidi, our yellow lab loves spending time in the front yard. She's not as happy a dog, now that we have a grandson. She is very jealous, and does naughty things to get attention when he's over. What a difference a few hours make in the hues of the blooms! Thanks for posting the times you captured the pics. Prickled Petals takes on a more subdued look in the P.M. - just lovely. Thanks Pam, and yes, I've already run into the problem with the white tags. In the past, I have used copper tubing with a P-touch label on it and that works great. Last fall, I had all these hostas potted up and was moving. I found those plastic labels on sale at Home Depot and bought several dozen of them. I used indelible Magic Marker to mark them. This was a temporary measure to get me through the move and the winter. Over the winter, the marker disappeared from some tags, and many other tags became brittle and broke off. Some even got moved away from the original pot. As a result, that center bed that you mentioned is the "Bed of the Unknown Hosta". There are a few in there that were at the new house... unmarked of course. The rest are ones with broken, blank, or missing plastic tags. I've identified a couple of them since planting, just by process of elimination, but some might never get identified. It's really sad. I would never EVER buy those plastic tags again and would never recommend them to anyone. All of these hostas will get marked with GOOD LONG LASTING markers before snow flies!

I'm green with envy, can't wait to see yours blooming. I am really wanting Fighting Fire, Bullfrog Kisses, & Stealth Bomber. I especially like the red of Fighting Fire. Crimson Edges is another at the top of my wish list this year. Debra got me wanting new coreopsis, & the last couple of weeks I have found several new ones. I'm having a hard time finding the right place for them. One nice thing about coreopsis, they root from cutting really easily, so I have visions of these all over the place :) I may run out of space for daylilies.

Yep..THIS year!! lol I knew this was going to happen (had a dream) even before THEY did! lol My daughter spent almost 14yrs. in a marriage with a low-life, worthless waste of skin..waiting on him to "straighten up" and be a husband and a father to the 5 kids they brought into this world. Those 5 kids are the only thing I've ever loved about him! He wasn't abusive...just wasn't a responsible and spent more time in jail than at home (that's what happens when you try to make money the easy way instead of working). She finally divorced him about 5-6yrs. ago. She met this guy..and they've been together ever since. He loves the kids..spends time and does things with them...he's the "daddy" in their lives and they all love him as much as their Mom does!!!

But, you know, this is the KT. You have to tall us *all about* this guy: How did they meet? What does he do for a living? What's his family like? And his friends??? (You never marry just one person; you get the lot!) Has he been married before? How old is he? Where's he from? Does he have children? Oh, and VERY important: How does he treat his MOTHER? LOL
