Yes, several times. Once as a member of an ensemble and a choir. I placed in a regional cooking contest and was on T.V. and featured in several publications. I was interviewed promoting a tomato festival in my home town. Also at a Red Beans and Rice Festival, eating of course!!

Well I answered phones for a PBS pledge drive once and I probably made it on camera but that's about my only television experience. If I see a camera, I generally run the other way.

Yes, I was interviewed live on local TV about my work in trying to save an 1860 carriage house from demolition. It's a little scary, because there are no "do overs".

I've done PBS pledge drives also and once was introduced and I made a pledge challenge to all my co-workers. The phones start ringing and someone in another row holds up his phone and said the caller requested me. I run down to talk to what I think is a co-worker ... but it was an obscene phone call. LOL I was sitting next to David Horowitz of the TV show Fight Back that evening. When I returned to my seat, he asked me if it was a co-worker. I told him no, it was heavy breathing and suggestive comments. He laughed and asked, "did you fight back?" :-)

Was briefly seen on the Ellen show standing behind Ellen and Matthew McConaughey who had gone out to the parking lot to do a segment on grilling steak. Petaloid and my DH were there with me.

I shot pics of a mama bear & cubs, sent them to the local station, so they came out and interviewed DH & I on camera.

In 4th grade I was on the news for about 3 seconds. Our class was doing a presentation on all the presidents. We each dressed up as one too. I was Woodrow Wilson.

I was interviewed by the local news a few years back about how businesses can form partnerships with schools to help them out. My kids were disappointed our cable company didn't carry that channel.

A few months ago I was on the news again answering questions on the class size amendment and whether I thought schools should be able to have larger class sizes due to the economy.

I also had my name and a quote on the front page of our paper a few years back. I had no idea until I picked up the paper off the driveway and saw my name in bold LOL. The subject was Walk Your Child To School Day and I was telling the reporter reasons people do not let their children walk to school. I was in charge of the school Walk Your Child To School Day and I had extended it to Walking Wednesdays and Fitness Fridays (ride your bike).

I used to do phone bank for our PBS station.

Danced on American Bandstand one school year, at least once a week.

Not on TV, but on youtube, magazines and newspapers.

DH has, when he was bitten by a rabid raccoon, the new people came into the Dr's office where he was being treated.

I also was on American bandstand in 1955.Fun,but sure was different than what you see on tv,floor not as big as it seemed while watching at home and cables running every where.

DH has been on "Oprah". We were both on Chicago radio interviews and TV (and a couple times on national), speaking out for Open Records for Adult Adoptees.

DH and DS are adoptees. I was co-leader of a Chicagoland search and support group for 15 years. We sometimes hosted groups from all over the country at conferences. Lots of interviews; little understanding of the issues. lol

Never say anything to a reporter that you don't want to see or hear taken out of context or edited to slant the issue.

I was in a fashion show and wore a little tennis dress & PF Flyers. And oh, I was all of four years old! Made the front cover of the (long defunct) Washington Star Style section...

Yes, My DH, DD and I were witnesses to a fatal car accident.

I was on TV, in Japan! LOL! At my old job a television crew came and interviewed people about 401K's. I was the youngest in the office so they wanted my slant on it. It was okay, except, I spoke through a translator, so I had to listen to the man speak, stare blankly at him, and wait for the woman behind me to translate. I'm sure it seemed choppy and odd?

Someone said they saw me on the news during my DD's apartment fire debacle. I know I was interviewed but I didn't see it. My DD became the media darling for that fire. She was on the news for several nights.

DS has done some interviews on technie stuff. Last time was a interview on war driving and protecting your wifi I think. A couple of years ago.

My brother was in a bad accident once and they showed his mangled car on tv... I hadn't yet heard about the accident so I am glad I didn't see it on the news.. I'd have thought he had died.

I've been to the Pillsbury Bake-Off three times--back when the awards ceremony was televised live. There were glimpses of me then.

I've been interviewed and cooked on the 5 o'clock news.

And was on a couple of Food Network shows--back when they were doing that 'festival's series on cooking contests at festivals, etc. Was actually on the pilot to that series as well as one or two of the episodes the following year. It was REALLY odd--everytime they reran the series, it seemed someone else I knew saw it and called. Then one day, I was actually recognized on the street!!! Very odd experience.

Never wanted to be. However, when I was married three years ago I finally agreed and there was a segment on us that was shown three times that evening. We didn't see it, but the station sent us a DVD which we play every now and then.

Also we made the front page (above the fold!) of the Sunday paper. So, that was enough publicity for me. Guess when an 85-year old and an 89-year old get married it is news, especially since we had 112 years of marriage between us before that.

I was on Wheel of Fortune some years back. I wasn't the big winner.

Years ago before I was married, 57 years ago I was on Here Comes the Bride ( I think that was the name)on TV. I lived in Inglewood at that time, don't know how or why I was picked. Guess I answered the right question because I won a beautiful set of china that my oldest DD uses today. I used it also . My Dad took a picture of me while I was on TV (Black and White) that I still have. (me with the TV as a frame)

Several years ago FX channel had a program similar to Antiques Roadshow. They came to the next town over and I was lucky to be chosen, along with some others, to be on the program. I showed and get an appraisal for an antique pocketbook.

When I heard their appraisal, my mouth flew open and I looked rather stupid. I've forgotten exactly the amount, but it was something like $400. I have the tape of the show.

I still have the pocketbook. I'll accept bids!

I was on Judge Alex last month, it was filmed last June in LA. Smith vs Tellez if you want to look it up. He "bought" my car when he was my neighbor, then moved to Indianapolis and never paid. Almost two years now, no money. He does have until the April 9th to pay the contract so Judge Alex dismissed the charges without predjudice so I can go after him when the note comes due. Ass-hat.

Several times. Used to be active politically and that would make some news on occasion. And I used to do announcing for some programs. Did a couple specially produced shows.

... I travelled from Ithaca N Y where I was in University to Saskatchewan to visit my family for Christmas.

After graduating from seminary in Saskatchewan in '53, I'd applied to do missionary and refugee resettlement work in Korea, was appointed as the Korean War was winding down and it had stopped by the time of my arrival.

After 4 years (usually 5) I returned via Hong Kong, India, Palestine and Europe, where I attended an ecumenical conference near Geneva and had arrived in Toronto just before I needed to head for school in N.Y., so hadn't seen my family for four years.

Drove my VW bug out through Chicago, taking a Greek student to visit friends in Minneapolis, with a rug over our knees to keep us warm.

As I neared home, just after daylight, a fox was running across a field and I decided to chase him: bad idea, as I got stuck when trying to get to a different roadway through deep snow ... so I had to knock on our neighbour's door at just after daybreak to ask his help to get me out.

Our small village church asked me to be guest speaker on the Sunday after Christmas and one of the nieighbours told the TV station in Regina about it, so they called me to ask whether I could appear ... but the line wasn't good, so I wasn't sure which news medium was involved ...

... until they gave me directions to their location, on a major highway on the way out of town.

They asked me to come in next week ... but I was to return to N.Y. that evening, so they had me come in that afternoon.

The interviewer hadn't been able to talk to me prior to my appearance and I was on after a cooking segment, so she apologized for interviewing me in the kitchen ... but I told her not to worry, that clergy people were used to talking to folks in their kitchens.

I asked whether she'd like to hear about various aspects of the refugee situation ... and yes, she would ... then about what life in Korea was like ... and yes, she would ... and about other aspects of the aftermath of war, etc. ... so I pretty well took over the whole interview!

That was over 50 years ago ... and I don't recall having been on, since. Not handsome enough, I guess. And now one pretty well has to be young: old, lined faces aren't in high demand, I hear.

And if you wake up ... look out the window ... and don't like the blizzard ... you can say, "Oh, well - I didn't plan on going anywhere today, anyway!".
