Our Eagle windows are great so far! We haven't moved in yet, but we love the aluminum clad outside and alder interior. We are staining the interior to match our other bi-fold doors, made by La Cantina. Eagle will send you a sample paint on an aluminum piece to take to any other door company for accurate paint matching if you decide to go with other than eagle doors (like we did with our tri-fold's). Another thing about Eagle is their customer support. I had a lot of questions about jamb sizes for our kerfed windows and doors, they were able to supply us with timely information from one of the company engineers, along with pdf files we handed to our framer. Excellent support. Our window and door installer loved us because they were easy to install. So far, no problems! Best of luck with your build.

I love fruitcake This sounds delicious! You gonna have some for us in Dec? My favorite of all fruitcakes is apricot fruitcake, I had in Texas at a KT gathering.

I make the sausage pinwheels too and we really love them. I use the original recipe from taste of home and do not freeze mine at all. They cut easily with out having to freeze them. Sausage Pinwheels Recipe Now don't do what I did last time I made them and got distracted and tried to use an entire lb of the sausage! they were big pinwheels lol but still very good. I too like a little cheese on mine. I lay out and roll mine on parchment with a tiny bit of flour very easy and don't stick.

Preheat oven to 350* F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Beat egg, buttermilk and vanilla extract together until smooth. Stir in melted butter. Add flour mixture and mix with spoon until nearly smooth. Turn into a buttered 9" springform pan. Bake until center of cake springs back when lightly touched, about 35 minutes. Remove from oven. While cake is hot, cover top with sliced almonds. Slowly pour Hot Almond Syrup evenly over, letting syrup soak into cake. Broil about 6" from heat until almonds are lightly toasted. Strawberry Roll From: NY Times Cookbook - 1961 Edition =============== 4 Eggs at room temperature, 3/4 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 3/4 Granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 3/4 cup sifted cake flour, Confectioner's sugar, 9 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature, 3 Tablespoons sugar, 3 tablespoons Grand Marnier, 1 Quart strawberries sliced Preheat oven to 400F Beat the eggs, preferably in an electric mixer, with the baking powder and salt until thick and light-coloured, gradually adding three-quarters cup granulated sugar. Add the vanilla and fold in the flour. Turn into a 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan that has been greased and lined with greased paper. Bake thirteen minutes. Turn from the pan onto a towel that has been dusted with confectioners sugar. Quickly remove the paper and cut off the crisp edges of the cake.
