What is the status of the current cabinets? Style? Age?Condition? If you like them and they are up to date for a rehab, I would let those drive the choice for countertop and therefore find counters to work with them ...update the space without undo toil. There are tons of counter choices these days. If they are quite old and you are embarking on laying on new counters,are you planning on another 15 yrs with them? What is their remaining life?

Thank you for responding. Cabinets are old, but in good shape. Getting new cab doors and drawers. Wanting GC granite because it appeals to me and can get a great deal on it. As I've looked at kitchen photos though, golden crystal is shown almost always with dark cabinets. Hoping to discover an off white that can do the trick. I appreciate your input!

When google images are sought for your granite-various cabinets appear in kitchens-white/medium stained/dark stained....it looks versatile-maybe your floor should be factored in. It looks as tho you can go different ways.

What a lovely granite that is...I googled images and it's really pretty. I saw several pictures of it with off-white cabinets and it looked fine. Particularly liked the one with the darker siligranite sink, by the way.

I found this website that has several pics of your granite with white cabs. I would suggest looking at BM Dove white or Marscapone. Hope these pics help. You'll have to scroll down the page a little ways to see the white cabs.

creamy white looks lovely. It is not a stark white.

Thanks for photos. Friend (with good color sense) came over and suggested off white cabinets with a glaze. She said stark white wouldn't work. She also said painting cabs a coffee color would create a richer look than even the glazed cabs. That gives me MUCH to think about! Don't know how golden oak floors and stainless appliances will fit in with these new ideas. Might look again at Uba tuba. I've seen lots of kitchen pics with Uba and white cabs. Very clean look.
