Good evening! It's 86 F. and the mosquitoes had a nice dinner on me - literally! I have bites on my face and on my hands and knees. All the fun spots that I can't resist scratching in my sleep. Donna, I'm so sorry for all you're going through. Be strong and post more often for lots of (((hugs))). Jan, I have severe osteoporosis and have been on Fosamax for 6 years with good results. I'll never be perfect, but my bones are stronger than they were at 55. I also take two calcium tabs every night before bed. Raeanne, I really hope my son loves this birthday gift. In the last few years, I've taken the safe way out and just gone with a GC. And, I didn't make it to Dallas after Christmas this past year, so my sister and decided to just wait until this weekend to exchange gifts. I don't usually wait quite this long! Still lots of packing to do. I keep thinking of things like sheets and spring rods to take to my Dson for when they move into their new home in late August. That's what I used until we got our window coverings, and it was helpful. I also need to take Alexis's (9 yr. old DGD) books to her that she forgot last visit. I haven't seen her in a month, and I really am excited to see her tomorrow night when she flies in from AL and visiting my xh and his wife. Guess I'd better get back to it because experience has taught me that nobody else is going to do my packing for me! Have a great rest of the week!

Some kind of enchiladas at a Mex Rest. in Flagstaff - including guacamole, etc. Good. Couldn't eat it all, brought some home ... and daughter said that she guessed, that being the case, that I wouldn't have room for deep fried ice cream (we all love ice cream). We didn't have the ice cream. As the enchilada had meat in it, I finished it before I went to bed. Now I'm here chewing the fat with you folks - but not having anything to do with carry-over from the dinner, though. Free milk here ... which I'm enjoying whole-heartedly. Moo - o - o! I tried a new recipe tonight and it's a WINNER! Arrange 4-6 chicken breasts in a baking dish. Mix 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup dijon mustard & 1/4 cup white wine and pour over chicken. Cover dish with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 X 40 mins., then uncover and bake 10 mins. more. Served with pasta and broccoli tonight. YUM! (Next time I'll add some mushrooms to the chicken for unneeded oomph -- we just like mushrooms.) Pat

just had bucca di beppo picked up, we started w/ a chopped anti-pasto salad & i had gnocchi w/ fresh mozzarella, DH had a huge meatball. we skipped on their yummy tiramisu, we are trying to get in shape. i'll probably make a roasted banana cake bars w/ brown butter frosting from cookinglight, it's low-fat and very very yummy ~ liz

We're going out - to our club's mid-winter dinner.
The restaurant specializes in Buffalo (they raise their own, on property)....I ordered grilled salmon.

Alex is drivng us to Louisville to see a movie and eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant. It was the only place that had both movies we want to see, close together. The kids and one of Lauren's friends are seeing one movie and I'm seeing another.

Not a lot have been fixing food for a big birthday dinner I am having tomorrow. For our supper I am fixing chicken breast pounded pretty flat, breaded and fried and made into sandwiches and homemade chocolate zucchini cupcakes.

Nachos! I have a craving. But if Kat invites me to dinner, I'd sure love that fresh salmon.

Suebdoo, what time do I need to be there? Yum! One of my all time favorite meals, and only seems good when cooked at home. One of these days I will get it right.

I am just now coming off of a slumber party with 3, 6 year old girls last nite, so....grandma is puttering out....
Thank goodness my DD came to the rescue for a few hours this afternoon and took DGD to a BD party, so I had some time to clean up and recover.....whew!

I think a tottie is in order, and then probably around dark time may think about some leftovers.
Anything easy, and sugarless! LOL

Yep, Patti, he is. He did pretty good, getting better all the time. We're still working on his 60 hours for his license.

We went to the Chinese buffet and I had sushi, octopus, calimari, Japanese fried rice noodles, and a small piece of jello. It's been a few hours and I'm still stuffed.

Chili! I made about 3 gallons of it a month or so ago and put containers in the freezer. We've been watching movies at home this afternoon and it's a quick fix!
