The only thing to do with bed bugs was I visited this friend a zillion years ago and she had gotten this pull out couch from someone upstairs in her building and I told her when I slept there was bed bugs in it and she didn't believe me, couldn't be and I was getting bitten galore on my legs, not pleasant at all and then I left and she wrote me to let me know you were right bed bugs in it. I told you there was. Its not a pleasant thing to go through at all, that is the only thing I went through with bed bugs and hope never will again.

I was planning to purchase the Wolf M series transitional ovens (along with some other Wolf products), however the posts about the continued chipping/flaking of the oven interior concerns me. I want to be able to self-clean the oven without worrying about this. Have any owners of the newer M series NOT experienced the chipping/flaking?

Does Medication with the same ingredients as Marijuana sound better. Doctors, if they have the proper clearance, can write prescriptions for them. The man's son has suggested the medication and probably does not want to write a script for his father because of legal and medical conflicts. Finding the medication may be a problem because it may be only available from what is called a compounding pharmacy. Ask your own doctor rather than relying on second hand information. My personal feeling about medical marijuana is that most of the effect is a placebo effect. The other part is the way it can relax people. Having been a college student in the late 60's and early 70's back when what was available was not as strong I saw the effect on some people. I also saw the effect if they thought they were using it. Both were quite similar. I do not know what they have in them but on Amazon you can find all kinds of things that say they have the effective substance. I do not know if they will send them to you or if they would have any effect. However RA is in all the parts of the body and putting a crème or drop on one part of the body does not in my mind seem realistic that it would help. When there is a flair up in a particular part of your body they might have a muscle calming effect. But that is just my thought and people swear by the stuff. You do though need have your Rheumatologist and your Oncologist discuss between them what you can and cannot take. You too could go to the Mayo Clinic if your insurance will cover the visits. Not everyone that goes there has money. I live in Kansas City, Missouri and one of the latest medical grouping advertise that they are associated with Mayo's. You could check on line with your insurance company. Call or go to the insurance company website. Use the zip code 55905 as the location to see if any doctors in that zip code are accepted. They also have facilities in Florida and Arizona.

I installed a mini split in the upstairs of my 2000 sq ft home a few years ago. It is in a large open room used as the main bedroom. I seldom turn it on, as I like to sleep cold (but if the outside temps go into the 30's I'll use it to warm the room). We don't normally need air conditioning here (PNW) because the nights cool nicely, my room has walls of windows, so it sleeps like a screened porch almost. I live near the saltwater and benefit from cooling breezes after dark. My lower floor (the main living area), stays cool for the most part. But a few years ago, the forest fire smoke choked the air and I couldn't open the windows to cool the upstairs in the summer, and it was stifling. So, I put in the mini split but didn't really use it for air conditioning because the following year we had no smoke, so I just kept the windows open...until last year when we had a record breaking heat wave with temps near 110 or over. Even the normally cool downstairs got sweltering, the upstairs unbearable. The two floors are connected by a small entryway/stairwell with a door at the top of the stairs and door at in the entry leading to the living room, kitchen/dining, which makes keeping the heating zones easily separated. I keep the doors to the bedrooms on the main floor closed always But last year when it was so hot, I ran the air upstairs and opened the doors between the floors. The mini split kept the upstairs cool, kept the downstairs not so cool, but cooler than without. I finally remembered I have portable fans, so I set those up downstairs to move the air and make it feel cooler. This year, I added a mini split downstairs, just in case we have such suffocating heat in the future. I would not rely on the upstairs unit to cool the downstairs effectively, but it will likely provide some cooling as Elmer describes, when the hot air from downstairs rises and gets cooled. But it's not powerful enough to draw much air from downstairs via the fan system.
