Milk and mayo. So anything swimming in,coated with or or having a strong flavor of those two items.

Lima beans. I've tried many times over the years to see if my taste buds have changed. But nope, I just can't eat them. Too pasty or something. Don't like beer or the smell of beer either.

I don't like the texture of wet bread, so I avoid French toast, stuffing and dressing. I'm the only one who won't eat stuffing/dressing at Thanksgiving. Tho I've found a stuffing recipe everryone "else" likes. It's made with Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix, butter, onion, and sausage.

Snails.

But, there are others I won't eat -- I'm a picky eater, I
guess. (I hate Bell peppers too) Nasty. :)

I really can't think of any food item I won't eat, but there are a few that I would want to watch someone else eat first. My motto has always been, "I'll eat anything that won't eat me first!"

Liver and onions. Even though I had to eat it as a child, but I also remember drowning it out with catsup so I could eat it and we didnt have onions on it either. I also don't like bananas or PB. I anyone knows what halvah is thats another one I won't touch or mincemeat.

Glenda, I wasn't sure what chitterlings was so I goggled it. Oh my goodness!!! Never! Even if starving to death was a possibility.

Brussels Sprouts....I've tried them twice and didn't like them a tiny bit, even. I used to feel the same as some of the above posters about bell peppers....just could not bear them. Then I got married to a green pepper lover....now I do really like them, and raise them, too.

Fish, I'd sooner starve to death. Oysters, too, and snails.

I can never go on Survivor, because I wouldn't subject myself to all that fish.

My dad used to eat calf brains, pig feet and cow tongues when I was little. I'm pretty sure I'd pass even if I was starving.

Flamingo's post reminded me that I need to add another thing to my would-never-eat list. I love fish, and most seafoods (though not sushi) except lobster. That may sound odd, since I've never tasted it, but while in high school I worked for a while as a kitchen helper in a seafood restaurant, and one day I watched someone drop a live lobster into a pot of boiling water. It made a sound that is with me to this day..... It was the end of my employment there. I hope this way of cooking lobster has been outlawed!

Elizabeth..I'm glad I'm not alone. Many years ago my daughter and I cried when we witnessed live lobsters thrown in boiling water and have not eaten any since. I get tears in my eyes just walking by lobster tanks in the store with the live ones with their claws taped together.

I won't drink milk and the taste of cilantro gags me.

I agree Lily and Elizabeth. I consider it animal abuse. I really don't see a difference between how you treat lobster versus a dog or cat. They are all living creatures and the only difference is society's distinction between food and pets, with the same process being called cooking for one and torture for the other. It just seems so needlessly cruel for a single luxury dinner - you certainly don't need lobster to survive. I have to avoid seafood threads on the cooking forum because it upsets me to think of how those dinners are made.

liver I hate it any kind of liver. Rocky mountain oysters, sushi, sardines, brains, feet, ears or tongues, raccoon, armadillo, snake, or any animals face. I freak out when I go to a store and see a face staring back at me wrapped in plastic wrap from the meat case!!

Being Cajun you would think I would eat anything LOL but no I have my limits. I do eat Gator and it is delish, I eat frog leggs, I have tried chitlins not a fan, I love seafood but I have never tried snails or sushi or caviar and really do not care to.

Okra--way too slimy and even worse with stewed tomatoes. I've never tasted chitterlings so I don't know, but the picture Glenda posted looked pretty good.:-)

patti, my ex's father loved chitterlings, but his mother refused to cook them cause they smelled so bad cooking.

Ex would take them out in the front yard, stick a water hose at one end and play in the front yard while cleaning them with the hose.

Then took to neighbor to cook them for his father.

Any fishy stuff except fish, and many of the things other people don't like. I do like liver and onions, creamed corn and okra, Good french toast is one of my favorites, it should not ever be soggy. No Sushi for me or snails either.

I grew up eating cornmeal mush for breakfast. Mother would fry it, then we'd top it with butter and syrup.

corn meal mush

3 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 tablespoon butter

In a medium saucepan, heat water to boiling. Reduce heat to medium; stir in salt and cornmeal. Cook, stirring regularly, until mixture is thick.
Spoon cornmeal mixture into a lightly greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
In the morning, melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Slice cornmeal mush into 1 inch wide slices. Cook in melted butter until golden brown on both sides.

My father owned a grocery store, and he sold scrapple. We never ate it.

That is easy, it is most food. I am very fussy & there is little I will eat. It would take a while to list everything I don't eat.

So many things I love are listed here! Love bell pepper, love fish, like scrapple, like shrimp.

I won't eat shad roe or sweetbreads. Lots of other stuff, too.

I'm not fussy about food and I have tried a lot of food that I will never eat again. The chitterlings, rocky mountain oysters, snails, haggis, sweetbreads, brain are among those things I plan on never eating. Souse, headcheese, oysters, squid, jellyfish and several insects are among those I will never eat again.

I'm with Glenda on the chitterlings. Never tried them and don't ever plan to. But we part company on Peanut Butter. Can't stand it except in Pnut butter cookies. Don't like bell peppers either. I love fish and seafood as long as the fish isn't "fishy" tasting.

Pretzels! Get a lump in my throat just thinking about them!!

For those that "THINK" they would be willing to try chitterlings, once you smelled them you would gag..They smell like sh_t....There is this restaurant in the town over from us that started serving them. It is a little mom and pop place that serves really good food. We use to go in there all the time and we did not know that they had started serving chitterlings on Wednesday nites starting at 4:30p.m. We walked in there and OMG is smelled like the sewer! We asked the hostess what the heck was wrong with their bathrooms...and she told us what they were serving. We walked OUT, NEVER to go back again. What was so bad, the parking lot was full.

For me it would be Tofu and okra.

I have eaten so many things that most of you would never eat. Before I became a pescitarian (a vegetarian who eats fish), I would eat pickled pigs feet and pickled tongue.
Now I do not eat any meat or fowl.
I used to really dislike brussel sprouts but recently a friend told me how to fix them. I buy them fresh in the store, cut them in half and saute in butter and garlic. They are really good.

Oysters, most every kind of fish & liver. Probably lots of other things, but these are the first I thought of and I don't like mushy things like dumplings.

Liver,clams,oysters,brussel sprouts,sardines,there are lots of things i won't eat,but the brain is not working up to par now,so this list will have to do.

I don't eat a lot of different meat type things. I know that if I was starving, it would be a totally different story but until I am, I won't be eating things like brains, kidneys and all those innards.
