My next husband is going to.....

Like to have the windows open! He's gone to Ft. Worth today and I've opened every window that has a screen. I not only love the way it feels, I love those outside noises. What will your next husband/wife like?

Dishes, vacuuming, cleaning the cat box and he will absolutely love, actually beg to clean the toilet!

Mine will like to work with power tools, putting up crown molding, etc. He will also insist that we buy a little camper and travel all over the place! The hubs I have now is great, otherwise!

Bad Chuck, bad, bad Chuck ! You go to your room and think about what you have done and don't come out until you can apologize. About the ladybugs... Don't give up yet. When ladybugs are shipped and stored ready for you to purchase, they are kept refrigerated so they don't get hungry. (all except that ride in the UPS truck, when they must wake up and get confused, poor dears ). So once you bought them and brought them home, then released them at a wonderful food source, they most often eat for awhile then lay eggs. It's obviously a great spring in their thoughts. So keep an eye out for eggs, larva, and pupa. In fact, if the plastic bag you tossed is still there, I would go and check there, since they lay the eggs where the larva will find food. I will find a picture for you and add a link. And a story: Back in the early 1980's we had a severe freezing spell here in Portland, and it seemed not only was the bag bug situation greatly improved that year, our local neighborhood colony of ladybugs had gone missing. Fortunately my neighbors , like yours, do not use chemicals in their yards, and we have a group of us that all garden and compare notes over the years. What we did was agree between four households, to each buy a min.of one bag of ladybugs per month of the garden season. That put at least one bunch out each week. It seemed to have worked since they where here, though smaller in number than before the following spring, with a nice increase for several years after. We'll never really know if it was our combined efforts or if the natural population somehow had stayed very well hidden, leaving the aphids to party on, or if it was our plan that worked. Personally I think it was us. Ya team. :) EDIT :Oh, oh... didn't look at the date of the original post. 2008 ! I guess the bag of plant shards has been picked up by the trash guys now. I'm so sad for you. This does sound intolerable and I think you're right that depression is a big part of it. Sometimes medication will help (and I'm not talking about doping someone up. Sometimes there really are chemical impbalances). But from what you've written it doesn't sound like he would be open to it. If only one person works on this marriage it won't work; that person will be miserable. Are you able to live on your own? Meaning financially. Certainly physically you're able, as you already take care of things at your father's house. If counseling is out of the question for him, you go for you. It'll help you see things clearly, make some decisions, and put together a plan for either staying or asking him to leave. Of course this isn't completely him; I'm sure that there are things about you that make him unhappy (we ALL do!). But since you're apparently the only one wanting to work on things, keep working and get it figured out. Don't wait for him to participate. Suzieque

I've only been to the ex's 10 year reunion. Neither of mine. I got an invitation to the first one but didn't go. Was over in Germany and didn't really want to go back, was very shy in school and had very few friends. I did buy a reunion book but they never sent it to me. I sent in my information about my life up to that point, for that book to be included, but who knows if they included me in there. I never got my 20th reunion invite. I went to Hawaii that summer but my dad lives in the same house he did when I was in high school so there shouldn't have been any reason they couldn't track me down. I assume they had a reunion that year but not really sure. A few years ago, around the time I went to Hawaii in fact, I got two friend requests on Facebook from old high school classmates. I was kind of friends with one, but not at all with the other. I accepted their requests, didn't want to be rude but they both have since unfriended me. LOL.

There won't be another one for me. But, I'd like for someone to come do the little minor things I have lined up, for when I find someone who'll do it.
Maybe a 'friend' who wants to travel in the winter, in his motor home.

Vannie..I do too..I love spring when it gets warm enough to get the windows and doors open...and I hate it when it summer comes and it is airconditioning time...I use fans as long as I can so we don't have to close the house up.

I'm with you..I love listening the the birds all busy getting nests ready.

I am with Leslie. There won't be another one but it would sure be nice to have a "friend" who would come over to do things on my honeydo list and have a motorhome to travel south in the winter.

That is my favorite hobby, and DH does not like it much. He did read all the Harry Potter books, but otherwise he only reads computer manuals.

Howdy, Vannie! DH#2 would be generous, know how to have fun and understand what allergies and arthritis do to my life. Oh, yeah - he'd have a job/hobby/whatever that took him out of town about 4 days per week. *L*

Actually, there won't be a next hubby. I wouldn't be adverse to a cabana boy tho. But he'll have to have his own place to live.

Whoever he is, he will listen. Silently, he will listen. Without trying to *fix* everything by telling me what I should have done to avoid the problem, or should do to resolve it.

He will be handy. DH is the handiest guy I know, and I love it. He could be a bit more careful/precise when he's doing things tho, so the cabana boy will need to be handy & more concerned about getting things done exactly right instead of "good enough."
