Not many at all and the ones I went to were probably in the last 10 years. Just a bunch of old people there. If there was one this year it would be my 63rd. It's entirely possible I would be the only one there.LOL

I've never had any desire to go to any of them - 35th is coming up, and still no desire to go.

My first husband and I attended my 5th year reunion - boring! I've never attended another one. I graduated in 1968.

I graduated in 1960. The reunions starting with the 20th were really fun. We have only had them every 10 years until now but hope to have a 55th in 2015. In 2010, I flew to California for the 50th one. I had found a friend I had been looking for for 30 years. She lives in Washington state and we talk frequently. Starting with the 30th or 40th we all hug each other, which is really fun. For the 50th, some friends and I were laughing about how we didn't diet or buy a new outfit for this reunion, like we had the previous ones.
I have a friend here who is 91 and her high school has a reunion every year for all classes. She is the only one living now in her class of maybe 20. She just loves going to the reunions.

I graduated from high school 55 years ago, too.
I have been to everyone starting with the 20th class reunion.
Our graduating class was over 400 but many of us still keep in touch.
Our class valedictorian just had brain surgery and he got the results of the biopsy today.....a glioma, which is a very fast growing, deadly tumor. Sad to hear about the situation.
I have really enjoyed all our reunions and am looking forward to this one.
Ann, one of my best friends in high school is in charge this year and is coming over tomorrow so I will know more about the details. It will be in the Fall since it is so hot in the summertime in Bakersfield.

I went to the 35th. Some people looked exactly the same, some were totally unrecognizable. If they didn't have their name tags on, I wouldn't know who they were. Some who didn't look so great in high school, looked really great and some who looked great in high school didn't fare too well with age. I enjoyed it, but have no desire to go to any more. In general, after 35 years, the women looked better than the men.

I've gone to several, in fact I helped to organize them. The 2oth was by far the most fun. We were all still young enough to dance and have fun. After that, we got a little stodgy! Some were a lot more fun than others. It's strange but the same people come every time and after awhile I got tired of hearing their stories. It's also sad to think about all who have died and you can't help but look around and wonder who won't be here for the next one.

My next is my 50th in a couple years and I'm sure we will get together. I stay in touch with the people I enjoy and frankly I'm not all that interested in seeing the rest, but I'm sure it will be a nice evening.

I remember the one reunion I walked in and thought I was in the wrong room. I started to walk out when I recognized someone and thought "that old person was in my class." It's so strange to see your high school friends as older people.

I'm glad you're going, especially if it's the first time. You'll have fun, but be prepared to be shocked!

I just feel the need to go, being as I didn't attend others, due to this and that reason.

We went to my husband's 10th.. I didn't know many people there and he didn't enjoy himself much. We also went to my 20th which is the only reunion my class has ever had. I recognized most of the girls, but the boys looked so different (the missing hair and pot bellies probably lol).. it was really shocking to me. I felt like the old cliques were still in force, so I doubt I would go to another.

This will be my 52nd class reunion. It will be held in September and I plan to go. I would not be going except my sister lives in the area and I will visit with her as well. Also, there are a couple of genealogical items I can get while I am there.

The reunion is 350 miles from my house.

I attended the 50th and that was our last real class reunion. There were about 50 of us in the class of 1960 and 20 attended the last reunion. Too many of us have passed on or are too incapacitated to make a gathering. We lost 2 classmates so far this year.

What we are doing this year is latching onto the class of 1962. All graduates from 1940 through 1962 are invited to the reunion hosted by the class of 1962. Each year thereafter, we will move up one class, e.g., classes 1940 through 1963 will be invited to attend the reunion hosted by the class of 1963. Such is the advantage of a small school. The number of attendees can be accomodated in a reasonably sized hall.

I graduated in 57 have not been to any of the reunions, have absolutely no interest .

I graduated in 1970, didn't attend any reunions for many years. I had a hard time in high school, too brainy, bad at sports, nerdy girl, only had one friend and it was rumored were were Lesbians. So I only went to one, my 40th in 2010. Hade a great time and none of the ones who teased me showed up.

I graduated from high school in 1960 and we've had a reunion every five years except for one time there was a blizzard. I've been to every one. In addition we've had birthday parties every five years starting with the 50th. We'll be celebrating our 70th in early September. Funny thing is I didn't even love high school.

Glenda, you will have so much fun seeing your high school friends again. I always enjoyed the reunions so much.

My hometown has a very organized reunion committee and has a reunion every year with honored classes -- 5, 10, 15, 20 years, etc. The honored classes usually have a golf tournament on Saturday morning, a get-together at someone's house (someone with a big yard) in the afternoon, the yearly banquet and alumni meeting in the school cafeteria at 6:00 and then around 8 the parties start at places like the K of C Hall, American Legion, Elks Club, etc. Usually have DJ's who play our beloved 60's music and the booze flows freely. Last year was my 50th and I wasn't able to attend but met up with an old friend who brought her pictures along. They also take a more formal picture of the whole group by a photographer. I was surprised at how much we've all aged. Like Georgysmom said, some look better, some look worse. But it's a lot of fun to be with them again. I'd gone from kindergarten through high school with a lot of them.

I went to my late husband's 55th college reunion five years ago (and his 60th last week). My experience probably doesn't count for much when it comes to answering your post because the classmates were his, not mine. But they all seemed to have a wonderful time, as did I. Everyone seemed to be smiling most of the time.

I graduated in 1971 and I go to all of my high school reunions unlike my university reunions of which I don't go to any.

I hated high school but I did have a nice group of girl friends which is why I went to the first reunions (10th). I had a blast. What was interesting was that I figured that all the "in" kids (I was so far "out" it was mind-boggling) would have gone out and set the world on fire and that was the farthest thing from the truth. For most of them high school seemed to be the pinnacle of their lives. By the 20th reunion you could see that the "out" kids were successful, if not in high-end careers, but in life in general. But the "in" kids were, many of them, divorced, didn't finish university (I went to all-academic high school and university was the next step), didn't take care of themselves. I'm not saying that this is the norm for "in" kids but just my experience.

My DH goes to my university reunions, we're both commerce grads, just one year apart.

For me the difference is that for the high school reunions I know the siblings and the parents of my fellow grads, I know the houses in which they were brought up in, and so I like catching up on their families as well. For the university reunions I don't have that same comfort or same interest.

I went to my 30th reunion many years ago.. Our Chicago class was very small I think around 140 or something like that. I took a lot of photos and recently found them sent them to the only classmate I've kept in contact with since first grade. I said "who are all these people" she called and said she didn't recognize any of them.
I remember at the time it was fun. I dont think there are too many of us left now

I went to my 50th. reunion last fall. I enjoyed it very much. The school also has reunions for say, 51 to 61(my class) which I find interesting as more people are there. Sometimes they go way back, which then, is too many!

My school has those HUGE ones, where they combine many classes. Not my cup of tea! Too big!

I graduated high school in 2001 so we had our 10 year last year. I didn't go as I have only kept in touch with one person and he wasn't going either! I did not have a great high school experience so I have no desire to relive those memories!

I went to high school in Utah and the culture there leans more towards early marriage so most 28 year olds have multiple young children, so it was clear as the planning went on that it was becoming more of a kids picnic type family outing thing than an adult reunion, so going as a single person without kids is a little awkward. Also, I like kids but I have no desire to listen to a bunch of them running around and screaming all day when I'd have to pay quite a bit to get there!

I might go for a later one. I think that would be immensely more interesting!

I moved away before my class (1963) had its 1st reunion in 1973. Then we didn't have any for a long time. I have never been to one - I was a very quiet person in h.s. so probably would not be remembered by very many in my class.

Once, the 10 year one. My husband and I were from the same graduating class. We were not very social types and didn't
bother to go to any others, we've missed many having graduated in 1965 (got married in 1970). Kept in touch with a few people, most were not in our lives much then or now. How funny..we are probably the only 2 from the same year that got, and stayed, married all this time.

Since I moved to California from Michigan well before my first HS/10 year reunion & since my return trips "home" didn't coincide with any high school reunions---I've never been. We were a class of about 300, but frankly I remember little of any of them except for the few I went through grammar school with. Two years ago I got an invitation to my 55th, which obviously was an impromptu/informal reunion put on by others than our usual class "party planners". I think I might have enjoyed that one more, but again, didn't make it.

None. I left my all girl Catholic high school after 3 years (long story) and graduated after 1 semester from the local public high school so didn't have time to make friends there. That's the school I get the reunion invites from.

My Mom showed me the newsletter from the Catholic school, which showed the group of popular girls from the class of "77 still hanging around with each other today. Don't know why, but that depressed me. It seems their lives have stayed stagnant, still revolving around the same old friends,the same town, the same Parish.

I was never supposed to amount to much, so I guess I get the last laugh.

Ours has been planned by the same group over the years, they remain rather consistant.

Used to be for the whole weekend, golf, socials for the ladies, picnic at the falls on the Friday night, Saturday the big dinner, Sunday brunch, then everyone goes their merry way. Now it's just the one social event for the evening.

Friend, that is meeting me, already has a group of us sitting together. We were all good friends, but Amanda is the only one I've kept in touch with and seen over the years. I still keep in touch with others, who never attend the reunions.

Will be interesting to say the least.

I've only been to the ex's 10 year reunion. Neither of mine. I got an invitation to the first one but didn't go. Was over in Germany and didn't really want to go back, was very shy in school and had very few friends. I did buy a reunion book but they never sent it to me. I sent in my information about my life up to that point, for that book to be included, but who knows if they included me in there.

I never got my 20th reunion invite. I went to Hawaii that summer but my dad lives in the same house he did when I was in high school so there shouldn't have been any reason they couldn't track me down. I assume they had a reunion that year but not really sure.

A few years ago, around the time I went to Hawaii in fact, I got two friend requests on Facebook from old high school classmates. I was kind of friends with one, but not at all with the other. I accepted their requests, didn't want to be rude but they both have since unfriended me. LOL.

This year is 45 years and I've never missed one yet! We've lost several members of our class in the last ten years and we've always been a close class.

There will only about 70 of us, from a very small town and maybe that's why we've all stayed pretty close emotionally.

My sister is 84 and still keeps in touch at monthly lunches with her high school class mates.

I went to my 25th - graduated in 1973 with a class of 22 or 23. I had a great time at the 25th year reunion. I found that most people were much nicer and more interesting after a little maturity set in :-)
