I have been hearing a lot latley about Abulation. (spelling is probably wrong) they go in and do something to your uterus, so you stop having periods, however, unlike a hysterectomy you still have your parts, so you don't go into "early" menopause. I just spent 7 weeks working at a temp job, and 5 of the ladies there said they had it, and were all very happy with their results. I'm thinking about speaking to my doc about it at my next checkup. They say if you go 12 months without a period you are post menopausal. I say if this happens to you and you don't experience anything else you are one lucky lady. I wouldn't take anything to make you have a period but at your age I would still use some type of birth control. If after 9 months to a year you're still without a period I would have an ultrasound just to check the thickness of your uterine lining to make sure everything is okay. I had a period every 11 months for 4 years before I finally stopped altogether, but I was 49 and had been on BC for thirty years prior when mine started. Good Luck

No I am not pregnant. after I posted this 1st of sept I had a light period and then again this week. so thinking its something else .

Patti , I've been going through it for about 1 maybe 1 and a half years now, and I'm only 39 years old. The doctor told me it was normal for women who have their tubes to go through early menopause. Of course he didn't tell me before I had them tied. Let's see keep legs closed or sweat like pig and feel like lightning is going through body, probaly would have chose first one if I knew this is what it was going to be like. Not that it would have made a difference of when menopause was coming. My blessing and prayers to you and yours. Has anyone had worse pms after they have started peri-menopause, I just can't stand myself .
