Ingrid." ***** From Straw: I'm adding own-root Yves Piaget on my rose-order for next year, along with Young Lycidas and Romantica "The McCartney" rose. I researched again on Yves Piaget: the person who grows Yves both as own-root vs. grafted reported wimpiness for both. Someone from PNW (rainy & cool) climate also reported Yves being wimpy. Robert Rippetoe in his Rancho Mirage climate of exreme heat, drought, and alkaline sandy soil .... grows Yves Piaget and uses it in his breeding program ... so it must be very good for him. I figured out what makes Romanticas works: fluffy potting soil for the roots to get big, then transfer to fertile clay. I have Yves Piaget's children bred by Robert Neil, I put gypsum in the pots, and they went beserk with growth. Ingrid in this forum once grew Yves, but it didn't do well in the heat ... she has loose de-composed granite soil high in potassium. That's different from Ingrid in Thousand Oaks, who has clay. According to Wikipedia, high potassium or high nitrogen drives down calcium. The Romanticas have a higher demand for calcium than other roses, they are very sensitive to salt, so saline soil is not suitable. Calcium in gypsum is used to de-salt saline soil. That explains why Mons.Tillier works for Jaspermplants in Arizona, but didn't work for Ingrid with high-potassium soil. Arizona is alkaline clay high in calcium like my Chicagoland clay ... I'm next to a limestone quarry. Calcium is known to firm up tissue of plants, and helps with drought-tolerance, which explains for the success of Romanticas in my limestone clay. PUDDING CUPS: I buy these from time to time for my kids, and the plastic is recycleable in my area, but before I toss in the bin I use them several times each in the summer to make bigger ice cubes for packing coolers or filling the big water jug on outings (or cooling the water for when I am freezing beans/corn), or cut holes in the bottoms and use as little planting pots for some of the seeds I start for my garden. Since they are clear I can tell when cuttings have rooted well. Thanks for coming forward, all of you, and pointing out that although many are striving to be energy wise and cutting back on waste, it is difficult to do it all and still live our lifestyle the way we've been used to. Just today dh took kids into the bigger city close by to buy them shoes, and I asked him to pick up milk on the way home. Pick up milk he did, and he let the clerk bag both jugs! I will speak to him later on this, I don't think he is aware he can ask for his items to NOT be bagged (I do 99% of the shopping in this household, and just assumed he knew how I felt about those plastic bags). I think it's all depending on whether that male friend found the woman to be attractive or not. Also, it's depending on the level of their closeness & mental intimacy. If a man found a woman who's his soul mate on email exchange, and irl she's physical/sexually attractive, it's probably difficult for him to not falling for her (whether he wants it or not). I have a lot of male friends, but they aren't my soul mates and I'm not attracted to them. I'm there to help then anytime they need me, we are very good friends since we were 18 (met in college) but because we don't have physical attraction for each other, nothing ever happened. They are all married w/ kids. However, I'm very cautious a/b entering a level where a male friend became my soul mate . If I found a man who is my soul mate (understand me, sharing my common passions, etc.) and we are both physically attracted to each other, then it would be tough to keep my marriage intact. I do not want to be tempted, you know, so I don't even go there. Yes, I can be friends, but I don't let any man enter the inner sanctum of my heart :-). Once (before DH) I knew this man from the internet who was my soulmate in every way. We often compared ourselves to Sabine & Griffith who live on parallel universe. Well, we met irl & while he was very physical attracted to me, I am not attracted to him. He ended up being hurt by my refusal & that broke our friendship. If I was remotely attracted to him, we are probably married now. :-) A lot of marital affairs started out as friendship, you know. :-)

I can't believe I had to Google what I did to get here. I'm assuming I am post menopausal. I haven't had a period for almost 10 years but when I was tested is was not menopause. Btw I am 51. I can't remember what it was but a few doses of estrogen started it again but only for couple months I repeated that regimine twice before just not doing it. I liked not having a period. Fast forward 10 years I am now there however I have not had sex of any kind for 18 years. Last year I finally went into hiding from an abusive husband to whom I refused sex to for the beatings. I left him several times during my marriage but the criminal justice system let me down. He has never spent a day in jail for his crimes against me. I can't tell you what it would feel like to sit in a courtroom and hear the judge order him to anger management classes again. Which cost $50 a week so he would be waiting outside the courtroom when I would leave he would walk up and put his arm around me and tell me how bad I was gonna hurt for costing him that money. I am free now and I am suffering the worst case of horniness imaginable. I can't get anything to work and I am in tears. I don't want a man with what I have been through I just want it to stop. I am doing things in my sleep. I have to keep my nails cut off. I was in the women's shelter for abused women before getting on my feet but I can't afford doctors anymore. I left with nothing to escape it including health insurance and I walk with a limp and my face is scarred with a cheap snap on smile for the broken teeth so this is something I cannot understand and I do think men know. I assure I don't flirt or dress provactively but I am hit on all the time. My only urge is to cut their penis off and take it with me. I sure don't want the rest of them. I'm not functioning well and I have had more serious medical issues that I did get to see a doctor for those things and yes I mentioned it. For my other medical issuers the doctor said no hormones that I should give into it that it was the healthiest thing to do. What kind of crap is that? He knew what happened to me Because he stitched me up enough. He wrote a letter to the court but nothing put my husband in jail. He gave my mother a heart attack on Christmas day. He terrorized my family. So I just can't let a man touch me so I am begging to know what there is that I can do. I'm sure it would be a blessing if I had had a good man . it's too late for that now
