why can't I post this?

My brother sent me an e-mail with pics of puppies and I wanted to post it here, but it's not letting me copy and paste...it just pastes the text, no pics. I even copied it to MY DOCUMENTS and still can't do it. Anyone know why?

Don't know what text you mean. From Photobucket or another hosting site? If so, are you sure you are copying the right line?

Please explain what text you mean if not from Photobucket.

Are you saying you are trying to copy the text and photos from your email. That won't work. Gotta host pics somewhere on the web and insert a link to them or source tag.

Oh thanks Kudzu9, but you don't need to bump this unless it is happening to others and you want an answer. My post eventually got posted. It was weird though, my post wouldn't show up for a long time, like over 10 minutes. I kept trying to post it, and it would keep disappearing. I don't know why, so I posted this thread to ask if anyone knew what was going on. Its not an issue now, but it has happened before to me and it is strange.

OK, that last word should be deal! I still can't imagine why the Garden Web rejected my original thread. There must be some simple word that can be twisted, but I'm baffled by it. The recliners are great and we were getting them anyway, so we are not really out anything. I can't believe we fell for this! I thought we were smarter then that. The Furniture store has been a top furniture store in our town for many decades. I'm going to go out there and see what they have to say about it. I checked with "Truth or Fiction" and they have many entries, but I found nothing that actually said it is a scam, just questions. Because we did't get this DEAL on the internet, I didn't think of checking it on here.

Hi Seil, we just had a similar discussion of picture-posting on another thread. Here is a link https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5802494/what-happened-to-all-the-old-posts#n=90 . Look at the last few posts to see how to get around the problem by reducing the size of your pictures. I never had a problem posting pictures of high res until yesterday when I tried to start a post here. Then I encountered exactly what you described. Reduction of picture size worked for me. :-)

I think it needs to be downloaded to a photo site first. Then posted here.

I forget things like that too. LOL Kath you aren't catching up to me in senior moments are you? LOL Your much too young!

Oh, duh...yesterday some young medical student and patient were in the hall and asked me how many ounces were in a gallon. You don't want to know what I told them I thought it was. LOL! Along came a aide who knew the answer and ragged me the rest of the night.

Click on the picture, think it's right click, then look at bottom of that screem for properties! Either right click or left click and it will show you if it is a gif or jpg. If it is, then you c & P the gif/jpg, then you CAN post it at KT.

Glenda is right but you have to post it to the gallery (see the firt page of this forum and click on gallery)Go to the gallery and make a message and then preview message at that point you can brose your computer and pick out the photo and it will upload to the gallery.Try

Just save it to wherever you have your pictures, such as the My Pictures site, etc. Then use the tinypic.com that Dave suggested.
