Bigger breasts

Hi,

Over the years leading to menopause (where I am almost sure to be), my breasts would get larger for about 2 weeks previous to a period. Now, they have just become bigger and stayed that way. It is not amusing whatsoever as my clothes don't fit and I don't feel like my "normal" self.

Does anyone know anything about this or what can be done?

I remember a few years back - my older neighbor told me that when I go thru perimenopause/menopause that my breasts would get bigger. I am there and they have. I joke and say thats because you get more fat under your arms at this age and it pushes to the front to fill your bras out better hahaha. I suppose you could have a breast reduction (haha), possibly losing "some" weight might take away some of them, short of that - buy new clothes because thats life as a woman. It is normal for a womans body to change ALOT during this stage of our lives :)
I wish that was what I would consider a problem during this time. My problem is for the last 3 weeks straight, I have not slept but maybe 2 hours a nite, massive, horrible, hot flashes with and without night sweats. At least bigger breasts do not disrupt sleep lol.

Thx for responding. This whole change of life thing is quite the experience. Anyway, I am going to lose weight if that is the answer eventhough I read that it gets harder to lose pounds at this time....crap, but oh well, another challenge.
Luckily, I do not have "hot flashes" very often...just some "sudden heat" stuff here and there but nothing to write about really.

Every life stage has a look that is authentic for each person. It is just silly for a 60yr old grandma to want perky boobs like her teenage grand daughter. Some people really resist progressing to the next stage of life but the body does anyway. I just wish we gain the wisdom to accept our aging bodies. That being said, sometimes people look older or disproportionate in some way that is not suitable to their life. I had a young niece who was slim and athletic but had 38G breasts. Her life had major impact with dealing with those breasts... Or beasts as she would call them. Boy could not see past her boobs neither some of her girls. She could not shop and wear normal clothes. She had to use dressing pads under her breasts to avoid rashes. Breast reduction was medically necessary for her. Another friend decided to do a tummy tuck. She had an emergency c- section with her first child and the cut muscles never recovered. She found it hard to find professional clothes that worked especially as she had a narrower waist and skinny butt. Tummy tuck really changed her life.

I just turned 41 this last March, and my periods have been fairly light (3 days... With the usual Horrible Cramps, Tiredness, Sadness, Irritability, Cravings etc. forever now.) I just got over my last cycle about a week ago, and it was completely different this time. I had a heavy flow for 5 days, and spotted for like 3 days afterwards!!! The usual Breast Tenderness, Tired, Extremely Irritable this time, Bad Cramps, etc... I am now suffering from MAJOR Breast Tenderness on Both Sides, mainly on the sides where the top of my arms hit. I am so completely swollen on both sides here, that it actually feels and looks like I just had Breast Enhancement surgery... I am quite Busty anyway, so this isn't real welcoming!!! My Nipples are enlarged and just as painful as well!!! I've never been pregnant, and there is absolutely no chance that I am now. I've been completely Exhausted, and having major cravings for such unusual random things... Once Again... 100% sure that there is no Pregnancy!!! Where I am swollen, it's extremely firm and Lumpy!!!! This last period was so unusual this time, I'm wondering if I'm beginning Pre-Menopause, and what I should be expecting, and how to calm my Breasts down??? My Mom doesn't really remember going through anything like this while experiencing Menopause, so I'm glad that I located this Forum!!! I would appreciate any advice and Tips that you all may have.... Thank you for that info, Patsy..I wouldn't have thought about that. That's a good point. Beverly~ The idea of a tote bag is great, too. Whichever quilt I decide on doing, I will try to make a matching tote bag as well. I haven't made one before, but it's worth a try. I'm sure it'll give her something to laugh about, anyway. :O) Kathi~ Thank you for praying for her. I appreciate that, and I know she will too. Also thanks for letting me know that a pink ribbon might upset her. I wondered about that, but wasn't sure. I won't get the quilt done this week, like I had hoped I would. But that's OK. I still haven't decided on fabric, either. I won't get a chance to order any until next week, but until then I'll use my time by looking at different things & deciding what exactly to do. As to cooking turkey so its not dry, when cooking a turkey bird in the oven I usually use a Reynolds Oven Bag in an appropriate size for the bird. One time use, seems to cook more quickly than standard roasting, easy cleanup, so tender and juicy that it falls off the bone (both white and dark meat), resulting turkey juices easy to contain and use for gravy or whatever. The only slight disadvantage I've found is that if you're more interested in nicely roasted and crispy skin rather than a nice tender and tasty bird, you'll likely be disappointed. To that end, we cook turkey to eat, not to look at and take pictures of so no problem there. Too, the cooking bag probably won't work worth a flip if you usually stuff the bird with anything but the typical seasonings (onion, celery, half an orange, salt/pepper, fresh sage, etc.). Traditional cooking method? Probably not but once you try it, you'll make it one of your go-to methods.

I am going through Perimenopause and my breasts have also grown. I feel so uneasy. I tried the losing weight. I lost it everywhere but my breasts. I am going through the bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and will be asking my specialist if there's anything I can do about this problem. I had the hot flashes terrible. After the saliva test showing how low my progesterone is, I was started on a Progesterone compound and hot flashes are gone. Thank God. If anyone has any suggestions on this issue, please let me know and I will do the same. Good luck ladies. This too shall pass right? I hope so.
