help me 'get rid of the crazies'

I am new to this site and also "new" to the beginning stages of PERIMENOPAUSE. 2-3 times a month I feel as if I am going nuts, I hate people, VERY moody, mean, and just not my normal self. I still get my period but it's been only last 2 days and not as often. Hot flashes sometimes, I can live with them, but I can't stand being so emotional, & crazy. HELP...I am going to see my Doctor soon, but I am not sure I'll get the help I need. I have read a little bit about this phase in my life, and as I can figure out it the dropping of hormone levels that cause the crazy emotions and hatefulness. I get these feeling 5-3 days before my period, & when I should be ovulating.

Is this common, and what is everyone out there doing to get RID OF THE CRAZIES?

IÂm not so sure I can help but I sure extend my sympathy! A crazy woman took over and I went from an understanding calm person to a wild and ranting lunatic. Thankfully that faze has subsided but now I find that it really hard to make small talk with people.
I have just started to skip the odd cycle and other than the moods I am doing ok. Just prior to the change in my cycle I had a month or so of hot flashes but they have not returned.

Amen to that! I wish I knew what would make it go away. Why didn't anyone tell us it was this bad? I feel like I have some sort of amplified PMS from ovulation on to period and now NO period so just horrible PMS every day of my life! We didn't realize the world was filled with crazy ladies like this and now we are the crazy ladies. I am attempting many things to fight back but so far no results so I will have to wait and see if anything helps. Good luck with your crazies and please keep us posted if you find any relief!

In a repot, I will flip the plant upside down, bareroot and wash off everything. No less than 2 days later, there's a web. Or today, I put my tray of seeds outside....a cookie tray. Bringing them in, I found 8 web strings...no spider. I can appreciate balance....and I'm not against spiders taking up this or that corner. I leave them alone. I have one, aptly named Charlotte (3 pts for originality, I know) that resides at the top corner of my storage cabinet out there, I'm fine with that....but these spiders shooting webs from ceiling to plant, roof to roof, pot to pot, beam to beam....wow. I bought a bbq lighter just to burn off the webs. A quick run over with the lighter doesn't do anything to the plants and eradicates the web in a millisecond. I do look ridiculous doing this 5-6x a day but hell if I care. I primarily have white spiders, brown garden spider looking things, and some green ones. At this point, I don't care what kind they are...I just want them off my patio. I feel ya, original poster. :)

My problem is that the evening primrose is mixed in with plants that I want to save, so I have been weeding by hand and losing the battle. I received some beautiful pink yarrow from a friend who was dividing up some plants and there must have been evening primrose mixed in. I have been battling this plant for two years now and it has moved around to several different beds and is overtaking many plants now, including my yarrow. It grows around the bases of rose bushes, which are so thorny and thick, I have a hard time weeding them out. It pops up in the middle of my thyme and sneaks under the fence where it quietly bides its time. I would resort to RoundUp if there weren't other plants that I want to save, so I have been trying to hand weed them out. But THEY KEEP COMING BACK! It seems every year there is a garden thug that I'm fighting with--first black-eyed susan, then sweet autumn clematis, and now this pretty little pink flower. I know I've read that if you keep cutting a plant down to the ground it eventually gives up and dies out, but I don't know that it would work with this--plus they are everywhere! I'm feeling a little discouraged, since I weeded them all out last fall and I can see them popping back up throughout the beds already. Any suggestions?

Patrick, i call them water mocassins, but in reality they are cotton mouths. i do see a lot of people refer to ALL snakes as either a rattler or a mocassin, but i usually know the difference. :) i have 2 90 pound labs so they probably run off most of the snakes. i cannot stand cats, so i really do not want to go there. as to the catch and release or catch and kill, i prefer they be moved elsewhere if possible, but either one is really fine with me. i am not worried about non-posionous snakes, although they probably would cause my wife to hurt herself if she came up on one. hopefully this weekend i can get some more shrubs removed or shaped and burn a large limb pile. i think the biggest attraction for the snakes right now is the frogs around my house. hopefully i can get rid of the bugs, which will make the frogs go elsewhere, which in turn will cause the snakes to look elsewhere for food. i do not know if i mentioned it earlier, but both snakes had recently eaten rather large frogs. that is probably why they did not run off before i approached, they had their bellies full and just did not feel up to moving!

Hi, I can't see enough of the Reddened Earth sample to tell at that distance, but I think you're on the right track. What I would do is find the color closest to your brick, and then use it on both the downspouts (as Chloe suggested) AND the garage doors. I always disguise downspouts on brick in this way, even if I don't use that color anywhere else on the house. Leave the garage surround (trim) white for contrast. Because your brick is highly variegated (contains several different colors), you won't be able to "match" it exactly. What you're looking for is a reddish brown that seems to best 'fade away' into the background of the brick. If you need to look at other paint decks, do it. The old Ben Moore "Classic" fan deck has a lot of muted red and orange colors that tend to sync up well with common brick tones. An ideal place to test your simulated brick color is on the downspout. Paint out a long section. If testing two colors, leave a foot or two of white space between them. The one that seems to disappear is your winner. In the future, when your budget allows for a full repaint, I'd probably replace the peachy sand color with something more taupe or greige, such as SW 7031 Mega Greige. At that point, you might choose to paint the doors greige as well, or if you're happy with the brick tone, they could remain. Downspouts should remain the brick tone -where they cross the brick- no matter what.

My mother was put on hormones just like the majority of women going thru menopause. After the health scare she was taken off and now she is going thru menopause. Other women I have talked to same thing.
All thought the hormones were to help get thru this phase of life but all it does is postpone it if you take hormones for a long time. Wouldn't you think the medical world would know this???????
Exercise, meditation, and chamomile tea help some. Not listening to the neighbors dogs bark all day and night helps a lot.
Hope your doc visit provides relief.

October has started a very busy season with lots of social interaction. I was getting very stressed. I started the day with chamomile tea didn't help so I decide to try 5thp. I read about the interacts with other drugs and I only take antihistamines (which I stopped immediately. After about 1 hour I started feeling much better. The party (which we hosted) went well, and I was tired of course, but not stressed out. I am going to continue with this for a month and see. These can be found at the drug store OC.

I thought I was going crazy too, I started to really Hate my husband too! I am 45 and peri menopausal. My mother went through it early too. I often feel like I just want to be on my own and i have so little patience. I exercise every day now and I do find that helps.
