Thanks guys. Johnnieb, WOW, I was down there in September, and did not take any pics, but man those bananas were almost twice the height in Sept 08 than they are in your photo from July. It always amazes me how fast they grow. Ive had Musa basjoo go from 1 foot tall, to 15 feet in just a few months. Definitely the thing to grow if you want fast, and extremely noticeable results. I wonder if they would care if anyone took any of the seedlings? I would guess they would not since there are literally hundreds of them in that planter and the surrounding planters. I wish they would let them go to seed more. When I was there in Sept, I was there twice in two weeks, and the second time I went down I noticed they had removed all of the seed stalks from the Sabal Minor. It was kind of disappointing. I would venture to guess that once enough of those get planted around the DC area, and are left to go to see, we might start seeing them naturalise a bit in and around the city.

Boy does this sound very familiar. I had years of of "gushers" (ultra sound, no polyps no meds) and now it seems I have my periods more often, but the last two have been a drop or two of red than on to pink and very watery. I just figured it's pretty much coming to an end. Which is just fine with me. It is a bit unnerving not really knowing what to expect or when to expect it. I'm with you on the daily pad. I've been wearing one for years. Infact my last period (if you can call it that) that was all I needed. I too have talked to my doctor, but she said it was pretty much different with each individual. My Mom has been gone for more then ten years, so I can't find out from her what she went through. Although I'm sure she would have been mortified to talk about it. Not unlike most of her generation. God Bless her. I do have a sister that's 8 years older then I am. I really need to give her a call. She's the one that told me about menstration. Our Mom never told her. Scared the heck out of her when she started. I know this isn't much, but if you are like me it's nice to know I'm not the only one with watery barely pinkish "periods". Becky

Turns out that Friday is his 'hospital day', guess that's why the next day D&C. Glad to report all is well, woke up right after the procedure with no pains, about one day of light spotting, and just a slight sore throat as a result of the anesthesia. Several of the ladies that worked at the hospital use the same doc, and nobody had anything but praise for him. The hospital has some sort of policy that self-pays must come up with the money before anything gets done, and the $5K was a "guess" and I would get a refund after all was figured out. To be honest -- even if I never get a penny back, it was well worth it not to be bleeding. Hopefully, he'll give me enough hormones or whatever so that I'll be rid of the periods forever.

I also think the 2 rugs compliment each other thought the new rug seems to be more in the "gold" family than "green. It could just be my monitor. I actually think the new rug really adds to the room, it adds some warmth and defines the space better. I actually think an 8x10 may be too big. I think you did the right thing by going with a 6x9. I would add a chandelier. Your decor has an Asian influence so perhaps a paper lantern or an Asian type chandy?
