LOL patti i have been saying orlando should have put in a bid LOL. we could truck in the snow too and make mountains from hay bales! hopefully we will never ever again see weather like this, it's beyond ridiculous.
thur night we had our 12 frost/freeze of the season and in the previous 100 yrs there were only 13 freezes all together, over 100 yrs! ~ liz
Patti, I'm almost 4 hours south of you and it's 49 degrees and cloudy here at 3:26. I have to keep reminding myself that I live in Florida and be thankful for the fact that I don't live "up north". Carol PS Hi Harry
Carol--hi back from Harry. Liz, did you get your weather stats from an internet site? If so, could you post it. I'd love to see how many icky days we've had.
Another question (I should probably post on the garden web) is, when can I safely prune my crepe myrtles? We ususally do it after Valentine's day, but this year is so whacky I'm afraid I'll do them in! I imagine you're having a problem with your business, too, with all this cold.
Before you know it, we'll be griping about the heat, which now is just a distant memory.
DH was just saying he's glad we made soup yesterday, because it's a soup kind of day! We did see a couple of intrepid golfers, but not very many - probably less than a dozen. Which sure isn't much, considering we had over 450 last Saturday!
On the bright side, we haven't had our sprinklers on for about 3 months. Thank goodness for small favors - I'd hate to have to pay the electric bill AND the water bill! LOL!
If this crazy weather keeps up I'm moving back to NH, at least the houses are built for cold weather. This afternoon it was so gray it looked like it could snow. I've been wearing long underwear and lots of layers at work all week. I called my BFF and asked her to pickup some more long underwear and turtlenecks for me! On the bright side my peach tree is loving this cold weather. Maybe I'll get lots of peaches this year. Hey Brat!
36 this morning. My sister and BIL are still here, he says he is tired of freezing here. Funny, this would seem so warm if we were in MN, but we've been freezing all season. And I miss our forced air heat in MN, these electric heaters take forever to heat a room up! It has to get warmer soon...right?? Right??
