grilling a turkey

I have a small 7.5 lb heritage turkey a friend raised. I was thinking I might try to butterfly and grill it, so looked up some recipes and techniques.

One thing most people advise is to brine it, but I don't really have time as I forgot to do it last night and am not sure a short brine would be worth the time and mess. I'll probably do a rub, too.

I often deep fry turkeys so have all the injection tools and was wondering if injecting brine might be an option? Does anyone have thoughts or experience on this?
