Paint trim color for BM Baby Turtle

Have selected BM Baby Turtle for our recreation room...not the entire space will be this color, however, in need of suggestions or photos of trim with this color. Currently we have BM 925 Ivory White running thru the house. The space which is under renovation is in an enitrely different location, so you will not see the BM 925. In my opinion this trim color is too loud for the Baby Turtle. Would like something that does not have as much contrast. I know many folks like the high gloss whites, but we do not. Also in the room is a large mahogony fireplace, so the trim tends to contrast with the fireplace as well. Not looking to try and match the fireplace, just maybe a white or other color which would blend more with the Baby Turtle. Thanks.

My kitchen is BM Baby Turtle and my trim is BM Vanilla Ice Cream. I find the Vanilla Ice Cream is the perfect creamy white. I have it on all trim on the main level (haven't gotten to painting ugly wood trim upstairs, but I will) and think it goes well with all colors in my house (red, gold, tan, green).

I need opinions on someone that has painted with Baby Turtle. What color did you use for the fabrics on the room. Please tell me if you like the curtains. I also posted on decor forum. I am trying to take better pictures but is hard with the light, there is the same green on the fabric. The pillow is only pretend but I can make them for the chair or the couch. The color on the wall is baby turtle by BM and it looks so much nicer in person. I think I like this ones better. Please give opinions. They are still not finish keep that on mind. I like the short rode but it can be with rings o without or could be pleated. Thank you for your help.

We have baby turtle under the plate rail in our dining room (missing light shades in the photo). It's one of the only paint colors that I've ever used that I got "right" on the first try and instantly loved. Seven years later, I still love it. It's a little washed out in the first picture; the second picture is a little more true to color.

Hi jnh896, I usually get a 3' by 24' poster board and paint it fully with 2 coats of the color I am considering. You can buy a sample size at most paint stores now. Paint 1 board for each sample. When dry, you can carry the large board around the room in different lights. You can better choose then. Never select colors from small swatches. Good luck! Have you thought of going over to the dark side?

I am suggesting doing a dark trim color, perhaps picking up the color of the mahogany.

I do not find the vanilla too yellow. Here are some pictures in different rooms in my house. All the trim around windows and doors and below chair rail in red living room and gold dining room is Vanilla Ice Cream. Hope it helps.
