I have been watching them too althea. It is so much fun. I so hated to see that nest covered with snow. Hurt my heart even though I know that they are more than prepared to deal with it.~~Angie

Their feet are huge! They are growing up quickly. Yesterday morning I checked to see what was happening and the three eaglets were alone in the nest and then Mama came swooping in with a talon full of straw. The wingspan on the two larger eaglets are also getting large. It's amazing. Dax

Thanks for the link - fun to watch! We watch the eagle cam in the Norfolk Botanical Gardens in Virginia...they've got three chicks!: http://www.wvec.com/marketplace/microsite-content/eagle-cam.html And Blackwater Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge, Maryland has three chicks also: http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/camhtm2.html

Alisande, that must be a popular link. It said the server was busy when I tried it. I'll try again in awhile. That was a nice story, BLF. Happy2b, what a treat to see the birds so close. We have a nesting pair up very near where I board my horse. Driving up there a few months ago, there was some road kill on the side of the road. An eagle had landed right near it and was approaching it as I went by. I was so excited to see him!! They are majestic and starting to make a comeback here in Ohio.
