Eagles are wondrous birds. I have the pleasure of having two visit almost every morning. They come for the fishing. It has been so cold here the last few days that the sound is frozen except where a local fisherman has made a broken ice trail. It was interesting to see (with binoculars) the eagles make a skid landing on the ice to do some ice fishing. When they swoop nearby, their large shadow announces their arrival.

We have a nesting pair up very near where I board my horse. Driving up there a few months ago, there was some road kill on the side of the road. An eagle had landed right near it and was approaching it as I went by. I was so excited to see him!! They are majestic and starting to make a comeback here in Ohio.

I couldn't get the eagle cam, will try again later. The eagles came here one season because of the condition of the lake where they usually feed, now they come back every year. They feed downtown in the Arkansas River, you can usually drive by and see them. One pair always nests and raise young ones at an apartment complex with a small lake. That is where people go to take pictures of them.
