pammyfay, strange you should ask. Have been having the same problem. I use loreal products and this week was looking for a new lipstick and started looking at the hair product demos on loreal. How could I get this old and not know how to manage by hair better. My hair is fine with no body. I had all the hair products suggested for my hair, and it works like a charm. So I suggest looking for the type hair you have and see what they recommend. I had no idea what that little cool button on the hairdryer was for. I followed the directions for my hair type and learned how to control it better. If you don't use loreal, I would try just following the tips and what products you have now.

I don't know what to do for static, but I can pass along a tip on hairspray. I always disliked and avoided it, too, until my DD introduced me to Sebastian Shaper. I don't know how it works, but it's amazing. Not sticky in the least--you can't really feel it, and you can comb or brush after using, but it somehow keeps the hair style looking the way it's supposed to. It's expensive, but I wouldn't use anything else. (Sebastian makes a Shaper Plus, too, but that's not the one I'm talking about.)

Infusion therapy will help with that you can google that term or look at a few of these. I have used the infusium products and they work well especially the intense infusion and the leave in.

CHI Silk Infusion

For static, I spray a bit of Static Guard on my brush and then brush my hair - works great, and I've not noticed any change to or damage to my hair. Mind you, I don't spray a lot, but don't need to.

I have the CHI silk infusion but I prefer the BIOSilk brand Silk Serum over it.

I found a generic version at Walgreens... I think called BioInfusion serum that is a lot cheaper. It's maybe not quite as good as the BIOSilk but IMO just as good as the CHI brand serum.

They all kind of tame my hair and leave a little bit of a shine...kind of gives you that second day look instead of the first day you wash fly away hair.

Moroccan oil is fabulous. I bleach my hair and it is dry, dry and more dry. This stuff is awesome!

I just use cond.in the winter in the summer it makes my bone straight hair flat and greasy looking but in the winter it doesn't and stops the static and we have had the heater on here in OK. for a week plus non stop! Stacy

Bio Silk is nice, or you can buy Frizz Ease serum. Just a drop or two rubbed between your hands then through your hair cuts down on the fuzz. Trust me, I have thin fly away hair. Me knows this works! LOL

I bought the Sebastian shaper today. I trust alisande. I need to control cowlicks that are standing up every morning as well as static.

I always tell whomever is cutting my hair to consider that a person will be critiquing me from behind in church.

I love FrizzEase Serum also. It comes in a pump bottle, just a few drops, in your palm, rub your hands together and disperse lightly over your hair, make sure some gets on the ends. Makes my hair soft and shiny year-round. My daughter (a hairdresser) likes BioSilk.

Is BioSilk available at regular store like CVS and Target, or is it a salon product? I'll Google it and look for it while shopping--thanks!

oops -- will try to spot the Infusion and FrizzEase, too. But I think I tried FrizzEase (in a dropper format?) several years ago and thought it was really sticky, if memory serves.

I find FrizzEase to be too thick and sticky. I like to use Silk Drops as a smoother.

I used to use Sebastian Shaper spray a few years ago but the smell just killed me it smells so much like bug spray to me it did not sit well with my asthma and scent allergies, I wish all of those products were truly with out scent.

Raven, I agree with you about the Chi Silk Infusion. Just tried it this week and love it. I found it at Wal-Mart. I've tried dozens of products and this is the only one that controls my curly hair.

My stylist used a new keratin treatment one me...it was Paul Mitchell Awapuhi. I saw you can buy it on Amazon....it really was amazing results. She charged me $35.
