No..no snow.. 25F though..

Yes, I am. We got a combo of snow and ice of some kind. There's about 6 to 8 inches. I won't be able to get out until most of it's melted. I am so thankful to God that I still have power.

I'm going to do some cleaning and some cooking.

Below zero here. Too cold to snow.

Same here up North by the lake. Usually not "enough" to stay home, but excessive wind drifts. Will try scooping again later. Make room for the next round. If we had 50 for a month there would still be snow on the ground. UGH.

Well, I WAS, until I went out with my trusty little shovel. I have a short driveway and was able to scoop in front of my garage door enough so that I could make a run for it and bust out the rest of the way. (After, of course, I scooped away the gift the city snowplow left me at the end of the driveway.)

We had 6 inches this weekend and another 8 yesterday. *sigh* 6 degrees.

No snow here, just rain and I'm thankful for that!

Yes. I think we got about a foot, and then some ice. I wanted to mail an item I sold on eBay last night, but I don't dare attempt the trip to the mailbox until my son comes over with the snowblower to make some paths for me later today.

Muggy here, with southern, "Kona" winds. It was 78F in the LR this morning. We've found our first cockroach -- a little guy, dead, on the tile floor. I'd expected more coming in after all the rain we've had -- and the palms outside our lanai being trimmed. Tomorrow is supposed to be nicer, with the winds reversing to the good Trades. Two people in the hot tub yesterday were 'cooked lobsters' who forgot you could burn under an overcast sky this close to the equator. Lots of pale Canadians here. (Wherever you are, it's always *something*!)

No snow, no ice, just cold. Since going to work is not an option today, and prolly not tomorrow, I am starting to go stir crazy.

No new snow in my area of ND, just very very cold weather. a minus 8 below. Did make it to the dentist in town, but ran into blowing snow/fog on the way home. Sending good thoughts to those in that nasty weather. Stay safe.

Snowed last night ... and today. Some blowing, not too bad.

Had to push door to get it open far enough to get out and to shovel, then a path to the small door and large door of the shed, to feed and water the cat (had taken one bowlful of ice into the house yesterday to thaw) and get the car out.

No trouble backing out, but some difficulty trying to turn, had to move back and forth a few times and make a larger than usual turn. There's usually a snowbank south of the house at the start of the lane, but it wasn't thick enough today that I couldn't get through it without getting stuck and didn't have to back up and take a second run at it, either.

Likely landlord'll show up soon to plough the snow, as he's very helpful that way: he's taken his snowmobile to the cottage east of Lake Huron, north of Toronto, for this week - but his son'll take care of the lane.

Roads good to the library.

So there are no complaints about today ... so far, that is.

ole joyfuelled ... who needs some fuel for the car, before long: don't recommend hitchhiking with gas can alongside roadside snowbanks in February

I flew out of Providence RI on Monday morning and think I just beat the storm because they started cancelling flights later in the day. I'm in sunny Florida now complaining about the humidity.

Yeah we got slammed here south of Boston and a nor'easter heading here Sunday. It doesn't stop us, we still go out as if it were summer. We're used to this.

Was iced in yesterday with no electric until about 7:00. I wont complain.
We have a wood stove, 2 generators and food and water for a month.
I made an interesting soup for supper. I dug out all the vegetables I had in the fridge (brussel sprouts, mushrooms zuchinni, asparagus, celery), sliced some red potatoes and onions, added chicken broth, and a can of diced tomatoes. Threw it all in my cast iron dutch oven and let it cook on the stove
At the end I stirred in about a cup of leftover cheddar cheese. It was quite delicious.
Power came back just about time I needed to do dishes!

Now, when the snow and ice DO clear...boy do I have a lot of yard clean-up to do from all the limb and tree damage!

I officially hate the snow. Even more than ever. I cannot stand another storm! Toronto got a lot more than anticipated. I am tired of shovelling and of shovelling out the end of the laneway whenever the snow plow goes through.
