I'm so bummed! (Just feeling sorry for myself)

I went to Pottery Barn this afternoon to price the wool jacquard pillow covers in the pale blue pattern and they're gone!!!!!

Tried E-bay - no luck w/ the pale blue pattern.

I guess I didn't realize that the jacquard pillow cover colors were seasonal. I so wanted to pick up 3 for my LR.

Boo hoo!

Has anyone come across a pale robin's egg blue accent pillow cover that they liked in a paisley shaw type pattern? Or just one that you like in general in that color range? Something w/ a nice soft subtle pattern.

Pale warm blue is my accent color downstairs w/ neutral greys, browns and creams for wall colors and upstairs is basically the same color scheme but crisper and brighter.

I think I'm heartbroken!

Cant's help you but just wanted to say I will join the heartbroken club with you. I am still trying to find the right color burgandy (wine color) coverlet/quilt, not having much luck. Maybe you will be luckier, there are many sites that others have given me to look for bedding. If you look up my thread titled "can you help me find this" you will see all the websites. Hopefully you will find one that has the blue pillows you are looking for. Good luck.

well, i've decided after watching so much hgtv and diy i should be able to decorate and design anything i want. i have to admit i enjoy watching "carter can" and "over my head" for obvious reasons. but, my dear son is going to bring in a 5 gallon bucket or 2 of potting mix to the kitchen so i can sow in here and then he can take them out for me. he's such a good young man. i've also got some shutters i can paint and put hooks and knobs on to make a coat rack for by the door. i was going to make a cornice box out of a bi-fold door for my sliding glass door but i'll have wait on that, thanks for all the pep talks. i never sit down so it's just been really hard. i've started reading harry potter books cuz i've read all of my own. i've got some great books on making concrete stepping stones and bird baths but again it makes me want to go outside. i've got cabin fever!!!!! i've only got to drive my new truck twice. well, i guess i will go organize all the new seeds i've recieved in the last few days. now there is some fun!!! I recently held a baby shower in my gardens and had nothing blooming but my annuals in pots....and they never look fabulous until about a week after the fourth....we also yearly have a large 4rth party and my pots then look decent tho not the best yet, but my gardens are always just green like yours with loads of buds..about a week or two after the fourth the garden and pots will be a blooming heaven....and it is disappointing, but that is the life of a garden I guess..I still enjoy it and as irritating as it is....I don't do it for anyone but my own family and myself...so I TRY to remind myself that when I wonder why it can't bloom earlier...tho I think this year there is a good chance it will be blooming on the fourth, things are a bit early this year and I have tons of buds that won't wait that long this year I think...We do many lunches and evening marshmellow roasts for just us that we enjoy the gardens and we often eat breakfast on weekends..in fact most...outside and enjoy the quiet mornings and the birds...so as long as we get enjoyment from the gardens I think it is all worth the work....just try to remember..that even the green and the texture is pretty and lush..not just blooms...if I had to quess I would venture that many guests will still tell you what a lovely yard you have.

Gina, I was thinking that the hand vac might benefit you. Sometimes you just need some suction above the floor (I'm baiting EJ)... the hand vac would be a perfect supplement to that stick vac since the stick vac doesn't have a hose. Nice also that you can swap the batteries out if one were to die in the middle of a job. Those batteries are supposed to last a good long time though. David, try putting the fried chicken or bacon in the pantry instead of the 'fridge and discovering them a week later! And I was only 24 when I pulled those stunts! Here's a pic of the hand vac since it wasn't in the other picture. It looks good too! Lee, I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't comment on your stick vac! (Your observations are spot on though... decent on bare floors, but not so good on carpet) It was recalled about a year ago! There was a case where the battery exploded in a ladies hand and caused severe injury. The batter is in the handle of the part where you hold it if take it out of the stick "shell" and use it as a hand vac. If you only use it as a stick vac, you should be far enough away if it were to explode. I just wouldn't want anything to happen to you, dear sweet Lee (that's my middle name, by the way :o) Lee, I'm linking to a story about the recall that has model numbers so you can check and see if yours is one of those affected by the recall. I'm sorry to hear about that part of your problem, Sherry. I wish that I were close enough to come over to help ... but I couldn't make it till about morning. Get some rest, keep peace in your heart ... and don't worry too much about Hub's feeling bad that you have all of that work to do alone. In a way ... that's his problem ... you don't need to take it on, too: and it won't help anything, if you do. Tell him to just relax and go with the flow: there are some things that we can do something about, and some that we can't, and right now he can't do anything to help. So just relax and let what happens ... happen: don't sweat it. Many men do have that yearning to "fix things" ... and feel especially troubled when weakness in their body won't let them. We have a Pottery Barn Outlet and they carry stuff like that, maybe you can call to see if they have them and if they do they can ship them to you.

No fun. Have you tried Restoration Hardware? Not sure if the color is right, but it might work for you.

I know how you feel...I wanted a certain phone @ PB....they saved one for me, but I couldn't make it by at the time to pick it up and now it is no longer available. Infuriating indeed. I may try an outlet like suggested here. Good luck in your search.

Do you think PBO would ship? Has anyone ever done that w/ PBO? My closest PBO is about an hour away. Worth the drive if I were going for something specific and I knew that they had it but I prefer to pay extra to have it sent. I hate driving that far for 1 thing only.

RH is by me as well as a RHO. That place could be the death of me!

I would def. consider sewing some (errr - making my little sister do it) if I found the right fabric. It's just that these were so darn perfect!

PBO will ship. A couple of months ago I bought curtains for my daughter's room from the PB outlet. Silly me, I thought 50x108 curtains would be a pair but it's not. It's one panel. I bought 4. I am finally ready to hang them and opened the package and was quite disappointed to discover I can't cover all of the windows. I made several calls, looked on ebay and finally my local outlet used the sku# and found some in New Jersey. I called and they did have them and they shipped them. Good luck!

Feel like I saw these last week at my local PB. If so, I would be happy to get them for you. You do know that all that ends in 99 cannot be returned? That stops me on many sales they offer, since I prefer to take it home to try it on for size.

Looking at the PB pic you posted, I think the RH ones I linked to would definitely work. Both are owned by same folks, so a lot is similar in their offerings. Good luck.

You can call the PBO and they will tell you if their in stock there too. Ours is about an hour away too and I did that with drapes just the other day.

The whole 'If it was meant to be' thing is taking hold bringing me back to reality and I may just stencil a few flour grain type sack pillows w/ a silver sage crown or something instead for my leather chairs. That's been on my mind to do anyways. I will try calling PBO though just to at least see what the price is if they have them.

Cyn427 - I have almost the exact same RH covers but in Stone in a paisley print. I love them but my room suddenly became all one monotonous sea of brown. Might have to pull them out this wknd. I have a sham addiction.

Last suggestion...(I promise ha!) Home Goods came out with a comforter that is very similar to the one that PB has in that color. Seriously, I had to look carefully to make sure they were different. Maybe they have pillows available in that pattern too.
