Lakota needs prayers please.......

They had taken Lakota off of the meds that kept him in the coma and weaned him off of the ventaliator (sp) and yesterday had to put him back on the meds and the ventaliator....he was not breathing well on his own (struggling to get his breath) so he is back to 20.....They will keep him on it for a few more days and then try again. I am helping at the Flower shop this week...so Lee and Kasey are going to take turns staying home.....Thanks Stacy

He should be put under your insurance, thats the new law they kids can be covered until age 26. It's a wonderful safety net in this economy when jobs are so hard to find. Prayers being said.

Thank you all and please keep them coming! She is still in the hospital, and they may keep her for the next four months, but the prayers are working!!!! They took her off the IV yesterday, pain is back to a 2 and she is HUNGRY! That's a good thing. The dr was worried that the baby hadn't grown in the past week, but she told the dr what do you expect when I haven't eaten hardly anything? In the local hospital, before they transfered her to where her high risk dr is, they were only letting her have broth and jello. I was so thankful late last night when I got the email with updated info. I knew all the prayers from all of you were helping. Again, thanks and please continue the prayers. Tami

I know what they are going thru with the cancer treatments. I too spent many days/hours in the cancer center with DH before he passed away. But he had the port put in as soon as he was diagnosed with this. He also had diabetes and heart problems and lung problems. My prayers are with Jim, family and medical staff. Has she typed in Garden Web? instead of KT and there is a way to get the favorites back--maybe Raven can help. I have a program to save them if they are lost. Can't think of title but begins with X. I am so sorry to hear this. I had typed a message after your first posting but I must have not hit enter as it didn't show up. I went through the Christmas holidays one year, not being sure if I had miscarried or not. All the blood work kept coming back positive but no signs of fetus. Sometimes the body reabsorbs the tissue - I know that isn't easy to hear but it happens. A D&C might be in order to make sure all is ok. I know its a difficult time - my prayers are with your family.

Thanks everyone...he is doing better today.....they have him down to 10 on the vent. His one leg is red and swollen and they think it is a blood clot...they are going to order a ultrasound on it and we should know something later on it...they are hoping by wednesday to try and have him off of the vent. again....thanks for all the prayers.....stacy

It is a blood clot in his leg....they removed the line going into it and moved it to one of his feet.....They are not going to give him more of the heprnphene (sp) they want to see if he can deal with it by himself.....Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers...stacy

I know they are so scared for this sweet baby. I am glad that medicine is so advanced to help him, along
with all the prayers.

Hugs to Lakota. Stacy it's not unusual for little ones to have to go back on the ventilator with RSV. It is one nasty bug and the little ones tire out fighting to breathe. Give him a few more days to recover and hopefully when they try again he will be a bit stronger. He probably had what we call an arterial line in that contained heparin to keep the line open. That way he didn't have to be pricked each time that bloodwork was needed to see how he did on the ventilator. Lakota is in all of our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks everyone....gosh Heather what you said is what Kasey said on the phone but I can't ever remember or understand everything...thanks soooooo much for explaining it to me! I am so glad you read this post....and of course for your thoughts and prayers....I won't talk to her again til this evening but will try and post how baby is doing.....Stacy
