Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. The only birthday wish I have left (besides more rain) is to hope that I get to see you all again as frequently and as soon as may be. Rosefolly

Thank you, thank you, thank you all. Actually, today is just another day, pretty much, other than having to go get my DL renewed, since I forgot to do so earlier and today is the deadline. We kind of celebrated on Monday by going to the movie, (Julie & Julia) something we rarely ever do any more, and I really enjoyed the movie and the day. We'll have a quiet evening tonight, and I believe I can convince my Dh to fix dinner - there's portobello mushrooms in the fridge, which are always yummy. Thanks again for the warm wishes. This is truly a great and warm group of friends. Sally

Thanks again for the kind wishes. I had a pleasant day, and made lemon Risotto, a zucchini and cherry tomato salad, caramelized mushrooms with shallots and Ann T.'s chocolate strawberry shortcake for desert. Today Jerry's up to something, but I don't know what. Nothing like celebrating and eating all weekend long, and then some! Sally

Happy Birthday!! I hope you can stay cool, but it also looks like there is no rain in sight for you in the immediate future. We'll keep hoping. Are you planning to go out for a special meal?

Happy Birthday, Sally. I'm joining in with those trying hard to wish yuo some rain.

So, what's planned? It's Friday, you get to celebrate all weekend, that's the rule you know.

I'm back now, to my "real" computer and can actually type on it. I don't know how those of you with smart phones do it. Anyway, I had a great birthday weekend up in Tahlequah, OK, working on our house. We're making slow but sure progress with the kitchen.

On Saturday I went Farmers marketing, first to the one in Tahlequah, then to the one in Siloam Springs, Ark., where my sister sells knitted items and cookies, among other small baked goods. When she closed up shop, we had a fast food lunch, then headed to her friend's farm, where I got to hold a two-week old pygmy goat. Cute doesn't even begin to describe a two-week old pygmy goat! I had a blast, I'm tired, but it feels good to get work done and have some play time, also.

Oh, since the kitchen was torn up, for my B-day dinner we had hot dogs, sauerkraut, and, believe it or not, DH opened up a bottle of Beaujolais, since he felt it was a celebratory time. It was a fun dinner, but I don't recommend wine with hot dogs and sauerkraut! lol!
