Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. Thank you, thank you, everyone. I'm having a quiet day. DH has to work tonight, so I'll be hanging out at home enjoying our wonderfully cool weather. Amazingly, it's been in the 70's today, damp and a bit rainy. For Texas in August, that's just unheard of, but it's quite a relief after all the 100 degree days we've had. Anele...with all you have going on I am so pleased you found this thread and sent your wishes. Thank you ! DH is a special guy. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Actually, Jerry has to work, but I think he has something up his sleeves for tomorrow. I'm actually planning to put together a meal for today. I'm heading off to the fancy grocery stores today to see what inspires me. What was one of those trigger words? Oh yeah, Chocolate!

Thanks again for the kind wishes. I had a pleasant day, and made lemon Risotto, a zucchini and cherry tomato salad, caramelized mushrooms with shallots and Ann T.'s chocolate strawberry shortcake for desert. Today Jerry's up to something, but I don't know what. Nothing like celebrating and eating all weekend long, and then some!
