Some have said that it does get in the way, especially when you have to get into the cabinet underneath. And that people don't like leaning up against the towel/bar. Especially if the towel is damp, then someone unknowingly leans up against it while using the sink, then gets dampness on their clothes. But then others have said it doesn't bother them at all! Do a search on it. I read a thread recently, but I can't remember if I did a search on it & found an old thread or if it was a recently posted thread.

We have a tip out, basically an upper cabinet with door hinged on the bottem and a shelf added to the bottem of the door, a small piece of decorative chain as a stop. Bought a can at Wal-Mart that uses a 30 gal. bag. A year after I made this I saw one at an Amish furniture factory, very nice and very expensive and lacked a feature to clean out the cabinet.

Hmmmm. The toe kicker extends from 2" to 2 3/4". So if it is mounted on the outside back of the drawer, you need a minimum of 2". I wonder if that is unusual? I've never checked to see how far back my drawers go when they are closed. What is standard? However, it does say that it can be mounted from the inside back of the drawer (presumably this requires drilling a hole for the mechanism to go through). So I might go that route. I had wanted the kind of trash cabinet where the can hangs from the side rails, but unless there is some kind of back on it, the toe kicker wouldn't work with that set up (and then maybe you'd have to "kick" it higher up with your hip?). So I assume I'll have to change to the kind where the trash can sits on the platform. Then it will be more like a drawer. Francy
