RGB values go from 0-255. The conversion chart will give you CYM or hex codes easily. What is it that you are trying to do? Find a monitor match? Print out the color? Or find another brand?

I was just curious what those numbers were. If I wanted the paint formula for the old Duron color Ardmore I didn't know if that's how you'd figure it out? Even if I had the formula does that mean another paint company could match it correct?

I'll give you Ardmore green's formula....all you had to do is ask:) I had some from a long time ago in my garage but needed more so I used their new Duration paint.....now this is just my opinion ONLY - I wouldn't waste your money!! I painted my bathroom right after & used the Walmart Kilz paint & liked it so much more (cheaper)!!

Scooby - Thank you!! I've painted with Kilz before and didn't have any problems with it. I had the "BM Shelburne Buff" mixed into Ace paint for my LR and liked that too. I don't know that there's a store that sells Duron near me so I was going to have it mixed in the Ace again.

So based off the info you gave me it's not matching what I thought was the formula from the easyRGB site? Can someone shed some light on this? Can you figure out the formulas on there?

Scoobyruby - I called my local SW store and asked them if I brought in the paint formula if they would mix it in a sample can. The guy told me the color wouldn't match right. To go to a Duron store and hopefully they still have the colorants???

Sheesharee, ask the SW guy if they have the old Duron colors. SW owns Duron now. If that doesn't work, maybe scooby ruby can paint some on a card for you and send it to you Then SW should be able to match the card. Last resort would be for My Perfect Color to send you a sample can of Ardmore Green. I have the Duron paint deck and the SW deck. I can look and see what looks close to Ardmore in SW. Honestly it might be worth it to use the formula scooby gave to get a jug of color to go. You might like it, you never know.

Ok. It didn't take me long. There really is not a comparable color to Ardmore in the SW colors. Ardmore is a very brown green. SW doesn't have a color even close. BM might be better. Scooby can probably give a better description. I'm only going on the chip I have. What type of green are you considering? Also, out of curiosity, what colors did easy RGB come up with for the kitchen fabric? I am assuming that is what you are considering the green for.

Hey Kmcg - Interesting to know SW owns Duron now. There is a Duron not that far from my work but SW is an easier drive. Plus do Duron even have sample colors? I'll have to call them maybe.

The color sample from My Perfect Color would be correct? (Never used them before)

Out of the colors I already have I was really leaning towards BM Olive Branch. I like the Hancock Gray at night but during the day the green leaves and it looks like mud. The Olive Branch still has that tough of green during the day.

When I converted Ardmore Green to BM, Hancock was the 1st one to pop up. It may end up being too brown also. I like the color it looks on Scoobyruby's walls.

the easyRGB came up with lots of funky colors. After converting and seeing them on the paint strip a lot of them didn't thrill me. Some dark browns and red browns. I did like the color but since my counters are a darker brown I couldn't see it working. I didn't really want to do gold because my cabinets have the orangey/yellow tone and I don't think I can handle red. That left olive green in my mind. I checked out some others suggestions with SW Svelt Sage and it looked bad against the fabric. Really look on a grayer tone. Same with BM Cypress Green. A lot of the others I've been looking at were either too yellow or too green etc.

Happy to say I got the valance made and up. I need to attach trim yet but was waiting until I figured out the wall color. It needs futzed with more in this pic.

I also had a hard time judging how much fabric to use since my window is smaller than My3dogs. I could've made it a little big longer for more folds. I was concerned about it covering up the patteren too much.

Your new WT's look great! I like the fabric! Since you do have a Duron near you, I would go there for a paint chip. Just ask and see if they have any old chips. If not, they will have the formula for the Ardmore in their computer and they can make a quart to try. Is there a link to your fabric online. It's very pretty and green will look nice with it and your cabs. Nice pick!

After I read your post, I walked into my study and I had a lightbulb moment! I painted the study Duron Wild Grasses years ago. It is a very pretty green and the woodwork is stained. I have WT that have red, gren, gold...much like yours! Sooo, I am going to suggest Wild Grasses. It would be perfect with your fabric! I will post a pic later...after I take one! Oh, thanks for the link!

I converted that color to BM and Hancock was the #1 match there again. :)

I tried as best as I could to take a pic of the chips near one another so you could see the differences. Hopefully you can read the names. If not, Ardmore is on the left, Hancock up top and Wild Grasses on the right.

Thank Kmcg! The Admore Green looks even more brown than the Hancock Gray does to me in the last two pics. The Wild Grasses looks more green in the bottom pic. I'll have to bite the bullet and head over to Duron. I think I'm narrowing it down but I probably should explore those options before totally settling on the Olive Branch.

I threw in the olive branch for good measure. Don't know if it helps or not! Probably just adds to the confusion. Olive branch is more brown, but not AS brown as Ardmore. Wild Grasses is def more green. Sorry, the pics are upside down. Olive Branch on left, Wild Grases in middle and Ardmore Green on the right. FWIW, Olive Branch is very close to EK Edgewood Green in my kitchen.

Yes, Ardmore does have alot of brown - my kitchen gets alot of light. My sis has the Moselle above it in her den - had it in her previous kit/hearth room. I like Kmcg's Wild Grasses, too. Decisions, decisions!!

Last house....had bright pink walls with blue linoleum floor in kitchen .....I did a late nite run to Home Depot for Ardmore green the night we moved in!! DH left to go hunting & SIL brought paint brush & wine.;) Most paint stores have the formula in their computers....just slight differences - just like your SB with Ace.
